I learned recently that the cover artist (Rick Houser) for Portals of Twilight lifted the image from a Frank Frazetta drawing.  Houser did the same thing for
Rogue Moon of Spinstorme.  The Rogue Moon figure was taken from a painting (pictured below) used on the cover of Savage Pellucidar, an ERB novel. Reminiscent of the Greg Bell thread from two years ago.

I dont think lifted is the correct term. Based sounds better to me. Do you think this was a trace over or a free hand dawing?

The face is at a different angle as is the near leg, so I don't think it is a trace over.
