Still haven't managed to pick up a CSWE at a "sensible" price, here. :?

Can't go far wrong with the usual recommendations, IMO; viewtopic.php?t=1267

Yeah, from one of my pics; not that I was ever a fan of waving cameras around the cats.

Strange what I can find in these ol' folders, though...

Thanks for the link.

Do you mean to say you took those pictures?

Here is a Dark Tower auction for you.  "Near Mint" is a bit of a stretch, but the price might be right.   8O  :)

BTW, I got my two copies of Dark Tower for $9.95 and $5.00.  The first was on Amazon.com and the second was an Ebay auction.

What? If it wasn't for that very obvious staining(and disgusting looking) all over the cover, the moderate staple rusting, all of those dog-eared pages on the bottom corner there, and lord only know what is going on in the inside there, that sucker is mint.  Gawd if that thing is mint, I would really hate to see what Near Mint looks like.  :x

Both, of course.  :D

Depends on the difference in cost, really. If it's any kind of substantial difference, playable suits me just fine.

You can buy a downoad copy for $2 IIRC. Someone here may know where from. It'll be good enought to read and play until you get a minty copy for the collection.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

this is a *bump* for this topic, but also to mention relating to Jasonw's Dark Tower that he has listed in the classifieds....

i have had a fair few dark towers and in varying conditions. that one seems pretty good and with you mentioning the staples but not showing a pic, might have deterred a collector from bidding. that said, most collectors prb wouldnt bid on it until about the last 5 seconds.

imo i think the opening bid was quite high $15. thats higher than i have seen a few of them sell for! though normally they would sell for higher, but a high start price can sometimes put ppl off.

not only this, having a "0" newb open the bidding isnt exactly what peeps like to see either....

but hey there ya go...discussion underway.

seems a decent copy for a 1st print.

Good points Al,

For those that might be interested here is a view of the spine showing the staples. As mentioned in my eBay writeup it is a patina, and not a crust  :)
