Sorry if this treading over old ground but I couldn't find what I was looking for via the search tool.

RE: JG 88 Dark Tower

I was wondering...what would be a reasonable price for this item in Mint or VF condition?

Also, was a reprint ever issued?

I'm looking for 1-2 copies and I haven't had much luck.

TIA.

Well Al (Killjoy) may have some numbers on this or one of our various sellers on these boards.

As for printings there are 3 known: http://www.acaeum.com/jg/Item0088.html
As for the reprint, yes it was done for d20: http://www.acaeum.com/jg/JudgesGuildOtherCompanies.html

hey guys. dark tower is a funny one. i have seen prices go from about £10 up to about £30+ (will have to convert into $)...

mostly all prints sell well - cos its only collectors like us who tend to go for specific ones.

the high prices above tend to reflect the excellent condition ones. the worse condition, reduce $ accordingly.

you see a few fair ones cropping up that go for about $10-15 if youre lucky and patient.

trouble is they dont crop up an awful lot, so when they do you normally get a fair few ppl converging on them, but the odd one does slip through the radar!

hope this helps...i do have one here i will be selling but like its having the time n stuff. i dont seem to have the time to fart these days :)

Al

Hey yourself and Thank you!

That's exactly what I needed to know.

I'll try to flex my patience bone...but, when it comes to items I want, that's hard to do.

Yeah, that's always the tough part. And Dark Tower requires quite a bit of patience for a ~$12-15 price tag for a half-decent copy.

Fingers crossed a few copies might pop up first week in April, when Al's away on holiday ( viewtopic.php?t=3294 ).

Good luck!

Ah... I see what you mean; http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 8755578372

(Judging by the number of bids you place, the likes of http://www.bidnip.com/ might come in handy, I think... regardless of what Al says! ;))

btw thats not a "first edition" like the guy says, mint condition or not. check the JG listings to see what print it is but its defo not 1st...just checked mine here, which IS a 1st. mines not in mint thats for sure and three of the maps inside has felt/pencil on them. nothing bad like but prb knocks it right down to about VG but just being honest.

if youre interested in it, i can scan a few pages if you want (when i get 5 mins to do so)....and if youre interested just make us an offer and its yours.

and btw david...too tired to fart when i am running. after 15 miles you kinda dont have the energy chummer :)

*waves to everyone*

Al

Congrats & enjoy, btw; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8759370805 :)

Under normal circumstances I would have been bidding slightly higher (what with the "free shipping") and expected to fall short by a greater amount.

If you really want it and you are refreshing with seconds to go I reckon your heart rate doubles - maybe more.

Only a matter of time before we see the headline - "Unfit D&D collector dies at the keyboard" and they will be talking about how the game is bad for you (again). :)

They only need to go to a convention to see that
If I was in bad shape maybe I would be concerned, but till that time I say damn to the snipe programs I like to feel alive

DT is one of the most awesome modules ever!~

How I missed this one for so long is beyond me...wait, I do know...you couldn't find it where I lived back in the day.

At any rate--once again...I thank the astute knowledge of this site's residents for pointing me in the correct direction.  :D

:D

With that sort of response, I'm very happy I didn't bid any higher- 'though I still need a playing copy.

Kudos to Mr. Jaquays & glad to hear your first impressions were somewhat positive, tiggy... :)

Well, me and my players thank you and the others. As Al likes to say, "it's ace!"

Love the avatar, btw!
