You're lucky, you just get kicked.

My SO merely says "You can bid on whatever you want, honey" -- which, as we all know, is just another way of saying "I'm going to smother you in your sleep for this." :D

My wife and I allocate ourselves a hobby budget each year. Mine gets spent on RPG collectibles, hers on clothes and bric a brac. I am about $1,000 over my leisure budget this year - but I justify by saying I have $1,000 worth of spare stuff to sell. Only I never get round to selling anything.

Yeah, I went to almost $100, but I can't spend more than that, especially around the holidays (damn Yule and Christmas and Boxing Day... ack! So many presents...) so, congrats! Give me a year and I might be able to get the next (tenth one on eBay.) :)

Well, I'm happy to report that I got a Tegel Manor for Christmas... its a 1st print, 2nd release! YES! :)

Minor problem, though, its missing the character reference thing... anyone have one for sale? :)

Those are frequently missing along with the color cover sheets.  They are hard to come by.  The good news is they are totally irrelevant to the playability of the module.  They are only important from a collectability standpoint.

Well the 1st print Gamescience Tegel Manor is now confirmed to 100 copies as the print run.

From Lou: "We printed only 100 uncolored editions of TEGAL MANOR because we were late getting it to the printer in time to take it to an Origins convention.  Doing color covers would take 3 additional days, but we didn't have time to wait on them, so we ran 100 black and white covers and took them to the convention."

Lou rarely checks email and then only at a library.

Hi Guys & Gals,

Bob Jr and I have posted a scan of Bob's original color map of Tegel i.e. the one he judged from in approximately 1975. I don't even remember seeing this because I was a player and he probably kept it behind his screen. So I always thought the original was black & white like our later product.

Image

But I should have know because the originals he produced for his campaign were usually made with colored Flair pen markers drawn freehand. The flair pens did not reproduce well when shot with 1976 technology so for the product version, Tegel was redrawn on vellum with Rapidograph pens. This produced a sharp camera-ready master.

Then this spring I did see the color map, framed*, at Bob Jr.'s house when visiting Bob. Recently we signed the agreement to continue www.cafepress.com/judgesguild (and 32 years ago today Bob  & I shook hands on starting Judges Guild).

The first addition to our site is a scan of this original color version... and it comes in several versions:
1. 16x20" Poster
2. 13x19" Framed Version (image area = 10x14")
3. T-Shirts

Please note that the original map Bob drew was on 17x22" graph paper so even the Poster is a bit reduced in size. The map is in partly good condition with part blurry due to various spills. You can tell that this was used in actual 'combat' D&D-wise!

Bob had foreseen making something like this and told Bob Jr that it should not be turned in a play aid per se (i.e. not cleaned up) but kept "as is" for a Collectors Edition.

I have already been working on my JG ICE project (Instant Collectors Edition) which I will release later this summer. So I had been thinking about this sort of thing. These would be limited quantity items.

So, for any one interested in something cool for your wall, please click:

http://www.cafepress.com/judgesguild/5719167

Thank you again for your interest in our stuff!

*While the City State got everyone's attention, Tegel Manor is the one that was most popular with the dungeon rats around here. It deserved the position of honor that Bob Jr has given it.

Bob's buddy
