When I see prices like that, I feel I should stop wasting time scanning ebay, and stick to touring local second hand book stores and junk shops!

$135 for a dark tower is just ridiculous. $60 tops is just about right for a damn nice first, and thats tops. it should normally be $40-50. though there are times you see it cheaper when there is a lull.

if youre not bothered about condition, you can get em a lot cheaper, but if youre gonna hang out for a nice one, its well worth it as its a great collectable.

Holey moley! I thought for a second you sent me to the Russian eBay and I was looking at rubles, not dollars! They must be smoking some mighty strong pipeweed in Hamburg, New York!

Dude, I am all over that Under Storm Giants Castle for $156.00.   Its a good thing thats there too, because if not, I would be sorely tempted to go after the Thieves Fortress of Badabaskor for $130.00.

Okay, I couldn't help myself   :

bclarkie wrote:Dear Seller, I was looking at this store listings you have and I was wondering of the $159.99 price tag for this is correct? I mean these sell on Ebay all the time for less than $5. I also noticed that you have a Dark Tower listed for $135 when those routinely stay less than $40 and a Thieves Fortress of Badabaskor that also routinely go for less than $5.00. Are these listings correct? Thanks for your time.

Someone who doesn't regularly sell RPGS, saw something that looked old, and basically pulled those prices out of their ass.

Well, I did get an answer and it seems pretty much as you said Mike.

Hi, thanks for the email. No the prices aren't set just yet. I sold something earlier in the year that was worth way more than I had it for, so until I can get these priced they are up for an buy it now, best offer. Once we get them priced they buy it now price will change. Thanks again for the email.

Seems like a nice enough guy though.

It looks like the ZANIAHZ eBay store reduced their prices somewhat but when I look at their listings through eBay Canada the shipping charge for each item is displayed as USPS Global Priority Mail at $21.95 USD per item.  8O

Correct me if I am wrong about this but I was under the impression that the base cost for Global Priority was much lower for packages under 4 pounds.

$7.50 to Canada if it fits in a flat rate envelope.

i thought i would stick this here, as there wasnt really another section that i could quickly see:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

i was bidding on this and was about to enter another bid. i thought i would have another quick look at the pic, but when i re-read the auction, i saw something i didnt see on a quick look last time.

he has a qoute "I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY WITHOUT NOTICE. THIS MAY BE DONE IN CASES WHERE THERE IS A LACK OF INTEREST IN THE FORM OF GENUINE BIDS "

imo thats bang out of order. whats the point in having an auction if youre not going to pull it through if ppl dont bid to the level that you want?

just doesnt feel right to me...what do y'all think?

Yeah, that is just wrong. Sure is a way to circumvent the BIN fees.

Thats BS.    For one, its a shitty way of trying to avoind Ebay fees which may be a violation in anf of itself, but you also may end up costing yourself loads of cash as who knows how many snipes that you may be blocking out by closing out the auction early.
