This seller is selling the City State of the World Emperor set, split up into three different auctions. Offputting...

Yeah seen that a bit earlier..but then we all know people have sold off the OD&D white box sets like that too.
Now if someone were to sell off the Tac Cards individually I'd be irked

"I don't know too much about this and if there were maps included with this they are not present"

Seems like he thinks it's different products.

(And since I know about as much about JG as that guy seems to, I'd have probably done the same thing :P)

Wierd choice...splitting up the books.  He would probably make more by selling them together.  Or, is he trying to make money off of shipping?

I know this stuff probably all makes sense to the diehard JG collectors, but allow me to tell you - from the perspective of a "TSR collector", or heaven forbid, a nostalgic gamer who isn't a colletor, a lot of the larger JG supplements are very confusing  :o

Well, a perfect example is City State of the Emperor. A large product that has a bunch of different parts. It's, what, 4 books? Plus two maps? Two of the books look very similar, another is the same picture but in colour (maybe a different edition? Looks that way to someone who doesn't know). It's like a boxed set from TSR, without the contents list :P

And there's not exactly a wealth of information about JG stuff out there ;)

there are a few really good pages that explain what JG items are and their contents - especially the whole list of items that you can get hold of. try:

http://www.stud.uni-hamburg.de/users/af ... nontsr/jg/

Judges Guild - Main Page (beware of dreaded tripod website popups, they tend to be random and at times you get one of them stupid dialer types which are a right pain)

Judges Guild Codex...Every item produced in the 70's-80's

between them three pages, you should be able to collate pretty much everything you want.

Shane, who is doing this subweb, is pretty much compiling all of this and then more so for the first time, we will have a site which has some proper meaning, which will be cool.

World Emperor is three books, and they are all different. they have content to do with specific parts of the setting and one map is the city itself in its entirety and the other is a location map, giving you a rather large surrounding area.

it really is like the contents of a box-set without the box. this was just how JG did things back in the good-old days.

Well this thread sort of fits for this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6002991989

    :x

So those who 'fix' these types of things are free to go to work

Probably pulled this off of drivethru.com, though I'm not sure.

Indeed..and it's going to be my only upset with the site..that people will begin to rip off pics and knowledge to scam others out of money.

I will take care of that for ya shane.

Question:

Dear Seller, you may not be aware of this, but this auction is illegal as you are selling illegally copied copyright material. Thanks.

I will also report to EBay right away.
