** expired/removed eBay auction **

I am a little confused here.

Is there a particular JG module (or modules) that made this bid this expensive?

Greyhawk, Blackmoor, Swords and Spells, Chainmail, City State of the World Emperor and City State of the Invincible Overlord (with at least some of the maps.

Escape from Astigar's Lair is also uncommon.

The rest are mostly value-added stuff.

$154, as it now stands, is not too bad, I'm guessing.

NO!
NOTHING TO SEE THERE...

The City State of the World Emperor looks to be incomplete with only one of the three books.
The Revised: CSotIO is a 3rd/4th print and the book looks like a nice copy of that printing.
I would need to know the Treasure Lists latest Product Code number to know which print it is but regardless, from her Answered Question it is incomplete too (missing several maps).

As it stands ($154.50) the price is still doable even with the two City State Sets being incomplete...

I asked some questions too... and she is doing a great job of answering questions, especially for not being a gamer and all.

Move along now... Thanks. :P

Well someone got a good deal for this - probably lost out on some money due to not showing up on Ebay.com.

Just wanted to say its always good to see auctions using printing information for the various products.  Helps out the Valuation Board and myself.  Also nice to see the product number sometimes too, but that's a minor bonus :)

Hmm... has anyone gone through the list and added up the component parts - and missing parts - to see what that comes to? Combined postage might be useful, but that seems to be pushing it a bit...

(Yeah, kinda puts that "missed" only-just-incomplete JG12 into perspective, no?)

Don't quite understand why this price is so high. Seems to be little evidence that products are complete, and the price seems to be close to what should be paid for the lot if everything were complete. Also condition would seem very suspect. Maybe someone is gonna feel a bit let down when their package arrives.

Glad so many folks had their eyes drawn away from Inferno and to the JG lot that sold for over $400...

SWEET!
I had been trying to fill this void for YEARS!
Finally success, and at a very cheap price too (I think). 8)

Was it the copy of Chainmail that did it?   :?

There are quite a few items in the list that arent pictured (Dark Tower, Thracia, Wilderlands books) but even with all that I would never think of putting a bid in a bid that high.  And you are most likely correct about condition.  If it isnt pictured, odds are its in less than desireable shape.

cgi.ebay.com/City-State-of-the-World-Em ... 3efce99d94

Our friendly Toad has posted an auction with a picture of the City States Map Book 6 from a Judges Guild CSofIO set.

So that the listing description (at first glance) might make you THINK you will be bidding on a Box Set of the original City State Set?

Which I do not think even ever existed, or if so, its a new one for me.

Yet further down you read that the item is indeed a Box Set.....
I suspect it is the Box Set that came (*EDIT! From Mayfair) for 2nd Edition AD&D!

It's just a screwed up listing.

I believe the person posting it just picked up some standard blah blah and did not know the difference between the Mayfair boxed set and the original Judges Guild.  Nor, does he seem to understand the difference between City State of the Invicible Overlord and City State of the World Emperor.

Ok, this isn't really on ebay as I bought it direct from killjoy, but Druids of Doom is a very interesting read and I've really enjoyed looking through it! Not only is it good, but a lot of info and very well written.

Are there any obvious follow ups/similar styled mods/mods written by the same writers that anyone knows of?
