I know this copy is D20, but is it worth a read as opposed to trying to wait for the JG Badabaskor (if that is worth reading as well??)

Cheers

At that price it's worth buying regardless of whether or not you buy an original JG. That said, I do have an original JG Badabaskor I was planning on listing for auction next week.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

In a comical move, the seller has now relisted it as it didn't get a bid at £5.99.

So a BIN price of £7.00 is bound to sell surely....

Been a while since one of these has been sold.  Looks like the mailing card got cut up but then means the item was used for its purpose (Seems to be the yellow card version I don't have a scan of).  Just missing booklet I to make this set complete.  Love the seller stating: "the ten useless dungeon maps"  Should be 9 if referring to the I and J maps and they are not useless :)

Would say its possible for the booklet to be the orange one, but I'd ask if the maps are from the Gamescience Tegel Manor or not.  (originally thought they were, but maybe they are the correct ones).

The Gamescience maps are dead white.

What distinguishes these light-colored maps from the Gamescience copies is the brown ink.

The Gamscience maps are black ink on white.

So the Tegel Manor is really a 1st print, 2nd release or is it a frankenstein?

Why would you think so?
Do you have some additional info (from messaging the seller perhaps) other than what is in that listing and the single picture?
With only a light Orange Booklet L and the two maps, as far as I know this listing does not include enough parts to determine what Printing/Version it is for sure.
Looks like it could just as easily be a second print to me.
Or a First Print of any version after a First/First…
With no flysheet showing JG Product Codes is there any way to know for sure?

Others here may disagree with me, but a lighter colored Orange Booklet does not tell me that it MUST automatically be a second print Tegel either.
I have Three First Print Sets with the flysheets, etc. and all of them have the lighter Orange Guidelines Booklet L.
Not the dark Orange Guidelines Booklet L, so are they all Frankenstein's?
I honestly do not think so.

Perhaps a little off topic, but I also have a hybrid 2nd/3rd print Tegel.
All of the contents are:
Yellow flysheet/Product list (titled "Treasure Vault" with the highest number being 160), Double Sided Characters Checklist (both sides have exact same data), a 3rd print white book, and the bumpy light yellow JG and Player maps.
I do not believe my 2nd/3rd hybrid is a Frankenstein, but anything is possible.
If so WHY would anyone place a 3rd print book in a more highly valued 2nd print set?

Just saying that the guys at JG (in the old days) may not have followed a rigid code for what was included in every mailing of each printing/version of every product.
I think they often slipped whatever was on the shelf at the time into a packet and shipped it off to the customer.
IMO there is far too much evidence out there to think otherwise.

I was just curious. The booklet just looked more like a dark orange color than the light orange color listed in the description here on the site. It seemed like the distinction between the first (any release) and the second was the type of orange on the booklet cover.

Edit: ok, I see the shade variation now comparing the photos. It just wasn't so obvious at first.

that looks like quite a nice copy of inferno. anyone who doesnt have one, the spine wear is generally like that on the majority of copies of inferno, due to the card that they use for the cover.

well worth some bids imo.
