Beat copy of Inferno

I have a problem with judging that copy as Very Good.

Very Good, or not, it's still a very reasonable price.

I came here to point this one out.

Seller wordguy, a.k.a. Paul Jaquays, has some original art up for sale.

Two of the pieces were printed in the Dungeoneer.  Most interestingly, they are of that black-and-white aardvark from Aardvark-Vanaheim.

The other nice thing about this auction, is that this person is donating part of the funds to the Gary Gygax Memorial Fund (see the link at the bottom of the auction...).

On eBay, more BS from T&T.
I'm guessing they got the secretary or the guy who empties their trash to list these items, because the clearly know nothing about RPGs...

cgi.ebay.co.uk/City-State-of-the-Invinc ... 3359ae470a
cgi.ebay.co.uk/City-State-of-the-Invinc ... 3359f63881

What you'd actually get, and what condition it would be in, would both be a nice surprise given that the seller has no idea if he's selling Mayfair Games Boxed Sets or Judges Guilds books. The condition and completeness are in all likelyhood open to T&T's special rose tinted inspection glasses, and the odds of anyone listing stuff knowing if the items are complete or not is highly unlikely.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Ah, it's a Mayfair boxed set!

I was wondering about the "7th print" and "boxed set" wording

"Original shrinkwrap" would seem to clarify the condition issue of the first listing.  The second listing does emphasize that it has been heavily used.

Someone is gonna be pretty pissed when the Mayfair boxed set shows up in their mailbox in its shrinkwrap.

I wonder if the buyer will be able to explain to the shipping guy exactly why he's pissed.

The item description says Judges Guild JG62.
I wouldn't go so far as to suggest that they are being deceitful AHs this time round, but they are F'ing incompetent and out to screw as much money from buyers as they can. Who cares if the listings tell the truth or not?

That would be me!  Yes, please make a bid on this item - I'm donating the entire amount to the Gygax Memorial Fund.

Well it stayed at $41, not bad for a 1st print.  Course if anyone from here won that I'd be curious to know if it had a mailing label. Stupid me now thinks about that when I could have asked the seller when the auction was running.

I know this copy is D20, but is it worth a read as opposed to trying to wait for the JG Badabaskor (if that is worth reading as well??)

Cheers

At that price it's worth buying regardless of whether or not you buy an original JG. That said, I do have an original JG Badabaskor I was planning on listing for auction next week.
