Now I could think of reasons why some maybe throw the RR sheet out if they had the same info on the card stock Judges Shield or acquired the TSR Monster & Treasure Assortments...Judges Guild was the first to compile the list of monsters, along with having a shield.

I find it hard to believe that this happened in every case but one.

Only one case states having Journal M: Ian's copy at the time..so if all of these were Installment M's then they seem to have lost the Journal M.

This is basically where I'm standing at the moment on this..It is not an Installment without the Journal. (Yeah envelopes get tossed, so to have it is a bonus, but to claim booklet and maps is Installment, sorry you have to come up with something more definitive.)

Shane

i have Ian's instalment M. this also came from the Burntwire Bros before that, so it has a good collecting pedigree. BUT that doesnt have the monster sheet dude...

thats why i have always been so insistent that it may not have always been put in etc...

So only one of the 4 is an installment though..just to clear up the numbers. And that's the broken text on the booklet cover? Think David may have had an Installment M without now I think about it, and I reread the emails Stuart Jacobson sent and he never mentioned one (though he's mixed contents, he never listed one in correspondence.)

I'll concede (as Mythbuster's say: It's plausible) till further evidence: its 2 mailed vs 1 unmailed envelopes.

I still stand by its not an Installment without Journal, so if they didn't come together, it can't be argued.

:) It's all good, just like to be clear in discussions. Even if I can't quite write it the way I intend it.

All the same booklet M? (would be good to have that confirmed with numbers - broken text prominent in the Installments)

Course if it means having to dig through stuff to find, you don't have to do that now :)

Rakeesh,
Just curious but when you quote somebody else it always seems that there is trouble with the way the quote is displayed.

Are you clicking on the "quote" button in the upper right corner of the other persons posting?

Nah.. Bulk is .075, First is .79

And as to Theory (if I got this right)..don't have a scan of Tom's booklet M..wanted to confirm if I can reach him before adding a possible 2nd Installment with RR sheet and all the other questions to come up.

Shane

found 2 of the 3 instalments that i have - they both have the smudge line on page one.

the other booklet M i have, does not...

cant find the 4th "instalment" just now, but i am thinking the noting right now is sufficient.

1 of the 2 i checked was the burntwire bros one.

For what it's worth my "Installment M" is missing the Monstrous Statistics Compendium Sheet.  It does have the broken text that Shane points to here:

Modron Differences

I got my copy from my best friend, who was my first Judge and was a JG subscriber (for how long I don't know).

As Shane pointed out the envelopes are often discarded.  It's entirely possible the sheet was lost/discarded.  As he didn't have a judge's shield, it wasn't for that reason.  I'm pretty sure my copy is an actual "installment".
