I have a #47 Campaign Hexagon System book - 1st or 2nd printing, I'll have to check which (1st, I think) - in NM condition with the last two maps marked in pencil (no other marks).  The wiki shows an asterisk for value.  What is it worth?

About $20, with the two maps marked in pencil, if otherwise very fine plus.

Really?  The Villages book #59 is much smaller and it's $16.  I would have thought the larger book would be more.

Oh well.

Are you looking at the price indexes at NM levels?
If so, those do not reflect lower values for 2 of your books maps being marked up.

My number was a guess anyway.
It might do a good bit higher than $20 in an autcion and I would probably place a bid or two myself.

The White version of the Booklet I (Initial Booklet) that just sold was very cheaply bought.
But if I had not placed a bid, it would have sold for a lot less.
And if I had not missed the end, it would have sold for more.
All e-Bay listings depend on who wants the items and how much they are willing to put down for them.
Price indexes are just a guess, though they are based (in part I hear) on past sales and so do have some accuracy.

FWIW: I just got a package in the mail with a copy of the 2nd print of the Judges Guild Campaign Hexagon System from an e-Bay purchase wherin the lot also included a copy of The Companions Hexagonal Grid Mapping System Folio.

The Judges Guild Mapping System book is VF with light rust to the staples, but with no marked pages.
I got the lot (with both items) for $12.50 plus shipping which was $3.73.

That is not to say that I did not get a great buy.
I think it was a great buy.

I guess I was also asking what the asterisk means in the wiki price column.  "Not enough data"?

And yes, you got a heck of a deal.
