  eBay.com Item Bid History

I got my mark in there at the last, but they do not call him Killjoy for nothing!  :)

Actually, I was just in there for fun...tried out a snipe just to be a part of the action and see if I could steal a win without driving the price up too far.  8)

well no "big dogs" were bidding on that...would hardly call myself that by any means.  not even close!

as david mentioned in the other thread, i bid a bit more than the last one went for cos i wanted another of them. damn happy with the price i got it for! normally, the completed 1st's go for about twice that, so will do very nicely thankyou! :D

   I don't know, Alan....

I saw that giant dog bowl in the photo you posted...nearly hidden behind that mountain of boxes.  SOMEONE around here is a big dog!

I would say that the guys bidding in the $700+ range for a boxed D&D set are big dogs.

I suppose that I am a big dog to someone else.   8)

ah with all that stuff, i have my limits and won't pay more than that.

but as you will find with JG stuff, anytime a 1st print comes around now, whoever wants it will get a damn hard fight from me thats for sure - i see you were onto that treasury of archaic names 1st, so i will leave that one and pursue the next one, cos i am a nice guy :D

that is when its a low key item like that...once you step onto the Instalment items, prepare for war :D

Well at GenCon I got the 1st prints of Wilderlands of High Fantasy (both books)

Wilderlands of the Fantastic Reaches (both books)

Wilderlands of the Magic Realm (both books)

and War Cry and Battle Lust.

(two of those had maps also..don't recall and do not have them with me as I sent them via UPS so that I didn't have to carry all the swag/products.)

all for around $80..course that is minus the envelopes/journals/etc..

Side note: I got the Wilderlands of High Fantasy box set put out by Necromancer Games signed by the owners Bill, Clark, 3 of the writers/layout artist and Bob Bledsaw. (We all ate dinner together..course didn't get to talk much to Bob.) :D :D :D :D

Damn, wish I coulda gone to GenCon. There's one here in Southern California, but they never seem to have vendors selling collectible stuff. Only new stuff. Well, maybe this year. *crosses fingers*

The original *is* pretty huge. The one down here in SoCal's only been going on for a few years, so it'll take a while for it to equal that. This'll be year three I think.

I'm thinking of running a game this year. Probably a White Wolf game, cuz I'm fairly into WW as a GM... though possibly an old-school Boot Hill game. I've got a one-shot BH adventure that I ran early this year that turned out very successfully.

But now I ramble.

Well, I would play, Robotico...but there is still that 1000 miles thing.  I made a character, long ago, to play Werewolf when it first came out.  I was gonna insist on staying in wolf form and slaughtering every human I could safely reach.  Alas, the campaign fell in when the GM could not follow through.

I will keep looking out for the Wilderlands stuff.  I am slowly stalking my Judges Guild collection.

I don't know if I plan to collect any of the non-D&D items from Judges Guild.   Not as interested in those...although I love names like "Darkling Ship."    8)

fwiw: i think the judges guild non-D&D stuff totally rocks - they are great even to just read!

if youre interested in collecting the majority of the traveller stuff in one foul swoop, i have the three traveller sci-fi packs, all shrinked. they were very limited edition - pretty rare and great to collect.....

the only ones i have seen on ebay in the last 6 months are the ones i put on there, so....

and wilderlands books will always be hard to get. specially as they really are demand.

Al

ps. i have about 6 or 7 diff sets of wilderlands. my plan is to swap n change the sets to keep the best sets, but i will no doubt end up with 1 or 2 sets in goodish condition etc.... will be selling them cheapish no doubt, so lemme know if they pique your interest and i will give you first dibs on them when they are sorted.

My two favorite WW games are Adventure! and Changeling. But I've got a lot of WW books. They're a top-notch RPG company.

(oh and Boot Hill is loads of fun, especially for a one-shot!)

You guys and your mileage problems! Sheesh! :)

I'm still trying to get all the Wilderlands sets too. I've got two of 'em. Fantastic Wilderlands Beyond (which, BTW, fencert continually has up for auction), and Wilderlands of the Fantastic Reaches. So I still need Wilderlands of the Magic Realm and Wilderlands of High Fantasy.

Yes I do. But I don't care so much, as long as I have one. :)
