Within the last eight seconds?

(Fastest ALT-TAB-ENTER in the West of Warrington...).

Noticed there was no other interest above $7.50, so I guess this is another one (like Wraith Overlord) that's been on the edge of being boosted up to the next circle, rather than the likes of Tegel, 1st CSIO, Tac Cards, etc. which are already there.

=

(Yep, congrats; and don't mind the price too much, please ;))

I don't know the rules of Ebay, or what let my snipe win when harami's snipe hit at the same instant.  I will take my good fortune, however.  8)

I got a copy of Inferno in the Spring, and just got a copy of Lindoran, so the collection I care about is complete.  Conditions weren't mint but then I didn't want them for the money anyway.

Having Inferno was very helpful in the early stages of the rewrite but now I've gone beyond the original (look for a status update in a couple of weeks).  Maybe next year I'll revisit Lindoran.

3 Infernos ???  How many of those did JG print anyway?

Any advance on 18 cents? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5234913908

Paid 20 times that, myself...

Have been waiting for updates, Geoff. You'll probably be done before I get a copy of the original. :)

Trust that's been an enjoyable journey! ^^

I never saw an Inferno copy on the shelf back in the day.  They could not have been too common.

Interestingly, most of the Infernos I have seen come from sellers in England.

I think that the English market may have been more open to adventures that take place in Hell than the American market.

Or, it could just be coincidence.   :?

i bought 2 infernos together when i wsa buying a bult lot off someone a while back. managed to get 8 laser tanks and 2 starships & spacecraft too, which are both also very hard to acquire and i already had 2 infernos, one of which i sold.

i think now, there are a selection of JG items which are quite hard to acquire now. lindoran doesnt know show its face all that often, so andyb (who i have dealt with on numerous occasions -a real decent chap) got a real steal there, but as david says, £2-4 is a decent enough price to get it for.

from watching auctions, i see inferno crop up in the US just as often as i do in the UK.

I got my Inferno today.  It practically marks the completion of my Judges Guild collection.  I may have to start thinking about first prints and all that..     8)

Maybe I have to start collecting all of the "letter" publications...X, M, L and the like.    :?

That's a novel encouragement to run quicker... :?

Thanks, Al! ;)

(Seller even discounted their shipping: total cost ~$9.25, so I'm more than happy to live with those ordered pen marks).

I just got a lot that includes a copy of Of Skulls and Scrapfaggot Green with what I think is an older cover.    8)

On the cover is a barbarian standing in a town square.

It says "Judges Guild" and "Approved for Use with DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS" across the top.

"Collectors Edition of the Gen Con X Tournament Dungeon"

Bottom left has a large "no. 80"

Bottom right has a large "$4.50"

There are 48 pages, including the front and back covers.

Inside says "Copyright 1977 By Robert J. Blake"

    NO booty list!

There is an 11x17 detached map section that looks like it was never stitched into the book....probably intended to be loose?  (There is no gap in page numbers)  Small print on the map section says, "Eratta Sheet for 'Of Skulls and Scrapfaggot Green'."

Back cover shows a ruined blockhouse or guard tower, with a small Judges Guild logo in the center of some clouds at the top center of the picture.

    Possibly 2nd Edition?   :?

SAME LOT:    8)

    Island Book 1

    Campaign hexagon Sub-System

Picture on cover is black and white with a ship sailing directly toward the viewer.  A moon or sun is rising or setting just above the ship's sail.  A woman in the foreground is either beckoning the viewer to approach or in the act of giving us the bird.

Campaign Guildlines and Islands On Numbered Hex Grids $2.75

    No product number.

    Copyright 1978

There is not so much a Booty List as there are two pages (back to back) of advertisments for various JG products, including Dungeon Tac Cards and Character Chronicle Cards (including a pretty good shot of one of the Character Chronicle Cards in case we ever needed to know that those looked like).

64 numbered pages, including the front and back covers.

Back cover shows a barbarian dueling with a turbaned figure who wields a scimitar.

Inside back cover shows a black and white picture that was used as the cover for Wilderlands of High Fantasy.

Any ideas on edition?  Printing order?    :?

That is the 2nd print (1st through JG) and map sheets taken from Journal W.

The Island Book I is a 1st print.
