I've been thinking of picking this item up at the next affordable opportunity.

I know its basically a laid out city. Can anyone give me a comparison. Is it closer in scope and quality to Tarantis, CSotIO or something else?

It has been decades since I've looked through this. I will have to dig it out, but what I remember is that it is a very thin supplement. Nothing like the other City releases, not even Verbosh (and the map is often missing when Ive seen it for sale).

Fourth prints do not have a seperate map, the maps were added within the pages of the book.

Modron is a city, not a City State so although it is quite detailed about the City, it does not have as much campaign data.
It also includes an underwater scenario.

Please see this link for a short description.

and the Judges Guild Index page.

Modron is ok, but is nothing closely resembling the expansiveness that other supplements are ie. Tarantis. its a nice enough item - but if youre going to look out for it, i would try and get hold of one of the Instalment copies (the small blue booklet with maps etc).

Agree with Al about the Blue Installement copies.

However the Book is more filled out... and I almost never see the map listed with the blus installment booklets.

Here is your chance for the book and map set.

And this one is only a $5 BIN.

That is about as cheap as I recall seeing it; add on just $3.25 shipping and I think you have a good deal there.

It will likely come in an envelope, so ask seller to write DO NOT BEND on both sides of the Envelope...

I have bought many JG items from this seller too and never had a problem.

You might even combine some other things from this the seller for cheaper overall shipping (Yes the seller does combine).

I've bought a ton of stuff from gaming fool, an excellent seller. Look over his store and you might find more stuff (He combines shipping).

Gaming Fool is actually a member on here... I don't know how often he visits, though.  He actually lives fairly close to me and I have met up with him a few times to buy some goodies.  :-)  He's a really nice guy and a top-notch seller.

In fact, I just picked up a copy of Modron from him about a week ago, when I saw him last.  hehe  ^_^  I also got a nice pile of JG maps from him, which I have a fondness for.  :-D

Modron is an interesting product.  It is not so much a module as just a town.  There is a short aquatic adventure included.

Modron should be thought of as a supporting publication for City State of the Invicible Overlord, since it is the port town at the mouth of the Roglaroon Estuary...and is part of the Overlord's domain.

Modron is a small city ruled by the patriarch of Mitra.
