I was using the Acaeum stocklist to go through my Planescape collection needs, and stumbled upon this. I know it says unreleased but i was wondering if anybody has any info about it whatsoever. Especially with all the auctions the last months, maybe somebody has a draft or a scan or something? Just curious

I was wondering about that, too. Guess I'll see what I can find out. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else knows about it, too. The thought that there might be drafts out there is incredibly interesting.

I also heard about TSR 2632 Plane-touched...  Was going to be about tieflings, aasimar and genasi. Apparently, they did Tales from the Infinite Staircase instead.

Waterdeep? Never heard of it.

You mean they spent their time on Tales from the infinite staircase instead of making 'Planetouched'? or are you talking about the specific TSR stocklist number now?

Well, I'm not sure how or why it didn't come to be, but I moreso meant that Tales got the stock number instead and Plane-touched is nowhere to be seen.

I heard both were cancelled because at that point TSR was going into bankruptcy and WOTC were buying them.

If TSR's stock numbers are roughly chronological, then 2612 should have been released in 1995. In that same year they published 2607 to 2611 and 2613 to 2615.

As far as I know TSR stocknumber were assigned at the beginning of a project, never at the end. So did they create stocknumber 2607 till 2615 all in one one year, because that sounds like alot.

Well, the campaign setting was released in 1994, so the planning of these products (2607 to 2611 and 2613 to 2615) must have been during that year, since the they were all scheduled for release in 1995. Just why was 2612 cancelled? If it really happened during 1995, it cannot be linked with the TSR bancruptcy. I've queried Sue and Monte, maybe they have an idea?

The word 'unreleased' brings images to my mind. As in: finished product, just never printed in large numbers for the public. Maybe the project was cancelled along the way?

If not then there is an unfinished copy lying around.......somewhere. Does anybody even have a clue what kind of product it was supposed to be? (adventure/novel/box set/???)

who was designing it? surely if you hunt that person down, then you might find out more about it? or what stage it was up to or whether they would be prepared to offload the original manuscripts etc.... ?

Here's the information from Sue:

Monte doesn't remember a product called "Blood Storm" at all, although he acknowledges that Hellbound went through a lot of name changes... Perhaps this was one of them?

I also asked Michele Carter over at Wizards -- she always had the best Planescape memory of anyone, but she didn't recognize the title either.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to be another Audio CD product(like Player's Primer to the Outlands), but that it was canceled. But that's

just a guess.

Looks as if this will remain a mystery.

Thanks for the info, Ralf! Even if it doesn't solve the mystery, it's good speculation.

I'm curious, though, as to where the info originally came from? Who heard of "Blood Storm" to report it on here?
