This took me like ten minutes, counting laying the book out, taking the shots, digital download from camera to computer, uploading from there to Photoshop, then posting to here.
OK, maybe one hour total.
I have not included any OD&D Box Set Books as I think of them as a totally different item.
Among the 20 books in the picture below are copies of 1st Prints of all five OD&D Supplement Books. (Only one of each).
The others are later prints, though most are early prints.
Lizard Logo on all but three books and one is the 1st print Greyhawk and another is a Silver Chainmail both of which have the Pre-TSR GK logo.
The last is the later print (Wizard) Greyhawk on the bottom row left side.
All of the OD&D Supplements and Chainmails are Near Mint or better.
Most of the rest of the books are almost all
NM, except a few.
What Price Glory is in Fair to Good condition; with sticker residue on front cover.
The pages are loose from the cover as the glue has long since completely gone away.
The pages are all present though, even the blue colored chapter separation sheets.
Mx3 Galore is in Fine (+/-) condition with sticker residue on front cover, rusty staples, and stains inside the book in the center (6 pages).
The Arduin Grimoire Vol. 3 is in crappy shape too.
The Monsters x3 Galore has been discussed on the forum before.
(I got this copy from BadMike, a while ago)
This copy of What Price Glory has been discussed here also.
I got it from another member here, and the member asked me about it a while ago.
YES, I still have it.
The Greyhawk in the picture below is easily one of the most pristine copies I have ever laid eyes on.
But not the best, as it has a flaw.
Two Initials neatly printed in ink on inside cover...
That other book in this picture is OK too...
This was not in the combined picture at the top, as I forgot about it before taking that picture...
But as it is a Digest Size book, it does qualify for placement in the thread.
A recent purchase from Australia...
Even after the higher shipping costs; I think I got a really good deal on it too.
It is a little larger (Wider) than Digest Size, but not by much...
I have stated my collecting methods here before.
But to rehash that issue: I try to collect as nice an item as I can find and can afford.
I do not neccessarily go after such and such, but wait for something to come up that interests me.
Which is without question as chaotic as can be and very hazardous to my bank account.
A more organized search and buy mission would not doubt save tons of money, but for me such organization would take some of the fun out of by chosen addic… Umnn… Hobby.
Until I do obtain that Near Mint copy; I try to find items that fill a vacancy (What I call placeholder copies), which I keep to read until I CAN find/afford a nicer copy.
Then I will normally sell (or trade, or give away) the placeholder copy.
I have done this for years and have accumulated a few nice items along the way.
Unfortunately; I also have a lot more crappy stuff than most members here might...
