Seller grantdalgliesh is selling the original Harn paintings of maps:

. . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0510999165

If the seller is Grant Dalgiesh, then he is the publisher of Harn and the son of the original publisher.  I don't know if the elder Dalgiesh is still active in Columbia Games.

I'll be getting a bad reputation for issuing condition warnings but it was rather depressing yesterday to check out the items they have listed. To casually repeat "box discolored", etc., without providing any further information is a bit meh...

I haven't been following Iron Kingdom prices but $60 for this book used to be a reasonably good deal.

O/T Do you know whether the 3.5 war machine is based on 1e Battlesystem, or my Companion set method, or some hybrid, or something new?

3.5 warmachine is the roleplaying game for the warmachine world.  Warmachine is a wargame similiar to Warhammer (ie minis fighting it out in squads).  It is a great war game.

The RPG is even better, steampunk done right.  It is just roleplaying in the warmachine world.  The mechs found in the wargame and such are available in the RPG but with 3.5 stats and not warmachine stats.  Rich and highly detailed world. Great product :)

Games can get you through times of no money but money can not get you through times of no games!!

Wasn't me. Have been hyper-busy over here and no time for my usual Harn hunting.

I'm thinking it was a good deal. It might seem high at first thought, but if you factor in that there are four painted maps -- 30"x40" apiece -- that comes out to $100 each. Framing even one of those will cost probably $250 at the cheapest :)
