Ah, c'mon.  I say don't document it at all.  Let the kids 30 years from now have some fun trying to sort it out. :D

Arrived yesterday.

To be honest, I am not sure of what to make of it. The box is cool.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Ditto. (Well, a few days behind...).
Amused to see Troll & Toad already have a large stock of the 2nd print up for sale. :)

Based on the last three posts, I believe that it has been mentioned before that Troll and Toad may not be as efficient dealing with overseas buyers.. :(

For those of you who haven't received your WB set yet, please email me with your paypal transaction ID.

[email protected]

I've been getting emails from folks in Europe since last week telling me that their boxed sets have arrived.

Weren't you one of the ones that ordered in the first "offering" of it? I ordered much later, so I didn't expect to receive anything other than the 2nd print. But if you're in the original group they should somehow work something out with you.

Let me try and clear this up because many folks were confused by it. The first printing of the WhiteBox RPG took place in 2008 I think and it was an 8.5" x 11" product.

The text of the WB booklets are all 2nd print. All boxed sets use the "2nd printing" of the WhiteBox RPG. We finished working on that text in December of 2009 and it was only formatted for digest size. Not a single boxed set using the WhiteBox RPG 1st print text.

The only real differences between the boxed sets is this:
The first 50 boxed sets had a different box (from my first box maker) than all the others. These boxes included b&w print wrap on the top and bottom pieces of the box.

Now the first 125 boxed sets sold had a pad of graph paper while the rest of them had either a pad or ten loose character sheets. In addition, the first 125 boxed sets also came with a pencil. Those are the only real differences in the boxed sets.

However, when I release more WB boxed sets in the fall, they will not have four booklets. Instead, WB will be broken down into just two booklets - a player's book and a referee's book.

But none of the boxed sets are the 1st printing of the WB.

Naw, I think I discussed each released batch of the boxed sets as "1st print run, "2nd print run" and such. I will have to be more precise with products descriptions next time.

Why don't you ask him where you can acquire a 1st print.
