There are one or two that no longer download.
Do you have the Rumors and Prestige Class for Tomb of Abysthor?
Or the DM's and Player's Maps for The Island of the Globe (Demons and Devils Web Enhancement)?
Or Secret Maps 1 and 2 and the Pregen Characters for Prisoners of the Maze (Zayene)?

I have the Errata Sheet for Wilderlands of High Fantasy if anyone wants it.

I presume M2 and M3 were never released in PDF?

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Am I correct... There is absolutely no montion, dedication or acknowledgement of RJK in City of Brass? Did Necromancer Games/Kenzer buy the rights to RJK's IP on account of the previous Hackmaster incarnation? Now RJK is out of the loop and Kenzer/Necromancer have ownership? I can't find any mention of RJK in there at all. Wow. I'd be pissed at that.

I want to know something about The Lost City of Barakus that I just got in the mail.

It's product code is TLG NGB2

Obviously, TLG is Troll Lord Games.

Just as obviously, NG is Necromancer Games.

The item was published by Troll Lord for Necromancer.

But what about "B2?"

That strongly implies a "B1."

There is no obvious mention of a prior module in the TLG NGB2 text.

Does anyone know more of the story?

The NG CoB has nothing to do with Rob's version, and given their acrimonious parting-of-ways, I'm not surprised that Rob's name doesn't appear in CoB (other than perhaps as a parody in an encounter or two).  The Kenzer/HM CoB and GotPM have both been on Rob's list of IP to buy back for awhile, but I don't know if he has pulled that trigger yet.

I'd imaging CoB as a title cannot be claimed as IP. Doesn't the phrase appear in the one Arabian Tale or other? Always thought GotPM should be reworked. Presume RJK is still resisting PDF releases?

So which products were never released as PDFs?
So far I can see Crystal Skull and Hall of the Rainbow Mage. Any others?

Since most of my stuff is packed away/hard to get to I can't check on these at this time - thought I knew where those CDs were, but alas they allude me at the moment.

The story of the City of Brass is way way in the public domain.

There have been several D&D game versions of the city by different publishers.

It seems as though Hall of the Rainbow Mage, Dimensions of Flight and Tower Chaos were all available at some point in PDF form, but are no longer available.

Did NG release any other boxed sets besides RA Reloaded and The City of Brass? And how does their gaming quality compare to that of other third-party productions?
(Not picking up RA Reloaded is one of my biggest regrets! <sad>)

Wilderlands Box set http://www.acaeum.com/jg/OtherCompanies/NecromancerGamesWilderlandsHighFantasy.html

99% of the products are superb - the one I didn't care for is Siege of Durgham's Folly

RAR is arguably the best 'megadungeon' ever published. Quite definately one of top ten products published in the past 10 years.

As regards the rest of NG's proct list, production quality is very high, but writing quality, cartography, and illustration all vary quite widely. The early Rappan Athuk 1-3 have the same high quality writing, but the mapwork is very poor. Same with the reprints of the Maze of Zayene books. In both cases, the writers are very good, but NG didn't have a desent quality cartographer on board. The maps look like badly drawn maps on A3 that have then been reduced on the office photocopier.

On the other hand, The later works, RAR, Abyshor, Glades of Death, Mesopotamia, etc, all have high quality graphics, high quality mapwork, and good writers.

And then you have the likes of Dead Mans Chest, Morrick Mansion, etc, which are all pretty much run of the mill d20/3E quality, and it's down to individuals if they're worth buying or not, and the same goes for the supplements like Demons and Devils, Vampires and Liches, etc. And Grimtooth is a direct badly scanned photocopy of the original, and you can even see the photocopy marks. It's an absolute piece of sh!t.

In a nutshell, stick to buying what NG wrote temselves, and avoid what they reprinted/rehashed for others. On the whole you'll avoid 90% of the crap stuff that way. Those things should be left for the completists.

Not buying a box of 12 RARs was my biggest ever mistake in running my eBay business. I had the chance in 2005/6 to buy a box lead when my local games store bought a case, and I didn't buy a single copy on account of them refusing to allow me to open the SW on one. At that time they were £50 a set. One sold on eBay a week or so ago for £135.
