Just picked up this mod from lulu, and had a question for those of you out there that have it...in the version I received, the map is on the mod's back cover...since this is unusual (at least for me), I wasnt sure if this was a lulu mistake....if someone could let me know, I would appreciate it.

by the way, it does have a nice old school feel to it...

Thanks,

Jorge

That's the correct version, not any sort of Lulu mistake. All of the professionally published ones feature the map on the back cover. As of the time I did the layout for the module, Lulu didn't (and possibly still doesn't) support printing on the inside of the covers, and so our only option for a color map at a reasonable price point was to put it on the back cover of the module.

This is true even of the ones we got printed up at a local digital print house. (Such as the ones available via Noble Knight Games.) The local printer *does* support printing on the inside cover, but we decided to avoid the logistical hurdles of having me do another layout for a map-on-the-inside-of-the-cover version, which would have also begged for an additional artwork commission for the back cover.

(This doesn't count the early/preliminary ones that RC Pinnell printed on his home printer and assembled himself. These didn't include commissioned layout, artwork, or maps.)

Which reminds me of a question I had...  I purchased one from Noble Knight and it's labeled as GS1.  If I order one from Lulu will I get the G4 version?

Thanks for the quick response Guy, by the way, excellent job with this, I am enjoying it very much.

Correct. Noble Knight has only GS1 versions.

Yes, that appears to be the case. I just looked at the World of Thorkhammer site, and it looks like RC Pinnell never uploaded the GS1 print version to Lulu. (The Lulu pdf appears to be the GS1 version.)

In addition to the difference in the module code, I *think* the G4 version also had slightly different text in a couple places. Nothing functional, mind you.
