Center Stage Miniatures, of Cleveland, OH, has acquired the license to produce 25mm metal miniatures based on the Swords & Wizardry game system.

"I believe this is a great thing for the old-school renaissance," said Matt Solarz, owner and president of Center Stage Miniatures. "Metal miniatures are a staple of vintage role-playing games, and Center Stage is pleased to be supporting such a high-quality product. Swords & Wizardry  truly encompasses all the good things symbolized by the early years of tabletop gaming."

To kick-off the miniatures line, Mythmere Games will host a contest asking Swords & Wizardry players to submit their best ideas for a monster. The winner's entry will be featured in an upcoming issue of Knockspell Magazine, and the creature will be the first release in the new miniatures line.

"We're really excited that Swords & Wizardry is going to have a line
of minis associated with it," said Matt Finch, of Mythmere Games,
which created both Knockspell and the Swords & Wizardry system, both
published by Black Blade Publishing.

More releases will follow in 2010, focusing primarily on monsters unique to the Swords & Wizardry game system.
