There's a large lot of D+D first edition stuff up on ebay at the moment. The sale ends tonight. The lot includes a copy of Judges' Guild's "First Fantasy Campaign" from 1977. The seller is offering free shipping. Check it out: ebay item number

interesting enough lot...conditions are variable but not bad really if you havent got the items in the first place.

good luck to bidders on that one!

the FFC looks quite ok though - not the best i have had or seen, but certainly ok. *edit* on jason zavoda's post. prb best to ask a lot of questions methinks - i didnt look THAT closely.

That occurred to me.
But then if they were the seller, you'd think they'd have put descriptions of their items up and been honest about it. The classifieds is really obvious on this site too.
I think it's a newbie poster who's looking for advice, and the seller is trying to screw people. Hopefully the newbie will keep his money because the bid price is already too high and the buyer will have a major disappointment whan their winnings arrive. But if he does win, well we all make bad purchases and we learn from it. Better to waste $60 on rotten and molding uncommon items that $200 or $300. We've all made bad buys early in our collecting past, so it's nothing to be ashamed of. Live and learn.

If he is the seller, he picked his worst item in probably the worst condition I've seen one, and has avoided being honest about it's quality or condition.

If he is a potential interested buyer, welcome aboard. It's not a good buy. But we're pleased you're here and there's an 'Introduce Yourself to Fellow Collectors' thread on the main board. We'd all like to hear how you got into this and what you're thinking of collecting.

i wouldnt prb have put things like that. i might have said. "when listing things on ebay or whatever form, please, if there are multiple defects on an item, let the buyer know beforehand, instead of trying to deceive them"

if you become a member on this forum and start them kind of antics, you will get a rather hostile reception i have no doubt whatsoever! :)

but er yes, welcome.

...? Was that a mis-quote for me..? Sorry, I think I may have mis-understood the quote used and your reply.

I didn't think I was antagonising anyone in my comments or starting an issue..

If I did, apologies given, but I didn't think there was anything there  :?

I will consider offers to sell one or more items separately from the group.

Isnt that illegal on E-Bay once bids have been placed?

Yep.
Adds to my probability that the seller is deliberately deceitful, and not just stupid.
