Wow Matt! Looks great. I think many gamers & collectors will breathe a collective sigh of relief to be able to table a Molydeus they can actually afford. Can't wait to see what else is coming from CSM.

Guess I better get busy and paint up my sea devils!

Edit: Updated my blog to reflect this upcoming release. Huzzah!

Nice work, Matt.  Any chance you can provide some alternative weapon heads in the mini?---it would be nice to have some other options:  a 2-3 head flail might really be a nice compliment to the snake head, for example, or a broad sword, etc.

Also, when you can, please provide a pic of him next to a 25mm figure for scale comparison :D

I'll check with Tim on the alternative weapon heads. Shouldn't be too difficult, as I understand the weapon and hands are a separate piece.

As for availability, there are three figures for the 25mm Fantasy Encounters line launching over the next month into April and May. I'm debating holding onto Molly as well as several others until June - my goal is to go into the summer and fall releasing 2 or 3 miniatures for the Advanced Fantasy Line each month.

Our new website should go live later this month, complete with forums (finally) and an integrated PayPal shopping cart, so people have more options to purchase their miniatures.

Thanks for the kind words, and I'll work on some photos with a 28-30mm figure for size.

:)

All this sounds great!  I am very grateful to be able to get some of these 25MM minis of monsters which have usually been much more expensive.  So, while I am buttering you up, any chance a bullette is in the future?   :D

I've been trying to find out who holds the rights to the old "Sharkadillo" sculpt by Archive Miniatures - it looked almost EXACTLY like the old Bulette you would find in the plastic bags of toys in the 70s.

As for Center Stage doing one....

8)

Stay tuned. Currently there are four other miniatures being sculpted, and a half-dozen more (at least) in the pipeline once those are done. It's going to be a big year for CSM.

The Sharkadillo is fine, but I hope your company is able to make it a single piece mini.  If I recall, the Sharkadillo requires attaching all four of the legs individually.  I mean, I'd rather have a Sharkadillo recast of some kind than none at all, but while I am making requests, I might as well state exactly what I am hoping for.   8)

Thanks for being so open to my request!   :)

Thanks for putting that out there, benjoshua.

I think a one-piece casting might be a little difficult, but if it can be done, I am sure one of the talented folks I'm working with could come up with something.

As for being open to requests, that's my goal with Center Stage. My customer base will always dictate the miniatures we produce - and its my hope that as more people see that, CSM will grow.

:D

Finally got my Peryton painted.  I wish I knew how to make these pictures better and smaller. :?

It's not professional, but I like it.  The joint between the head and body was a bit tricky to seam together, and I wish the foundation was just a tad larger, but it's a beautiful mini, and I like it a lot.  Enjoy!  :)

Good stuff, Benjoshua. I like it!

Despite my love of miniatures, I have NEVER been able to paint. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I've had to shuffle around our releases to make way for U1 - Dark Eye of the Hurricane, but some new sculpts have been thrown into the mix.

Available in mid-June are CSM-009, Mimics, sculpted by Nicolas Genovese. A quick picture preview...

These look great, Matt.  Will you be attending NTX, and if so, will you have any of the new minis available?

My attendance at NTRPGCon all depends on Priceline.com over the next four days...  :D

As far as the miniatures go, my casting company also does contract casting for much bigger companies and the GenCon race is on...the Molydeus and Mimics, as well as the first miniature in our Giants line are set to be master molded this week...and assuming two miracles in a row happen, I might have some early castings available for sale AND be at the convention.

As for miniatures, make sure you get your copy of CSM-010v, the Lord of the Great Plains at NTRPGCon. It's a great mini, and all proceeds benefit NTRPGCon!

Can we have an update on the Re...I mean, Polar Worm?

Center_Stage wrote:In the coming months, we'll be releasing lots of goodies, specifically from the talented hands of Jason Wiebe and Simon Summers. One of which is a polar worm whose official name begins with an R....but shhhh, we won't call it that!

The Glacial Wyrm has been pushed back to a Christmas release this year due to sheer size and moldmaking costs- he's going to be a biggun, and will probably require multiple masters and production molds. He'll be available in time for Christmas, along with the second release in our Giants range.

I'll post some preview pictures here tonight.

For our current releases, the Molydeus is in production casting (should be in the online store this week) as well as a blister of Stirges (six, each with a clear flying base) also available this week.

Look for a resculpt of one of our original figures coming up in September, too.
