I have just started work on indexing the Castle Zagyg Upper Works Boxed set. Anyone who would like to receive copies for proof reading or research please send me a PM and I will email updates.

I plan on first indexing each book seperately before combining the information into a single index for the entire boxed set. Any helpful comments or suggestions are more than welcome.

Sounds interesting but a lot of work. Have you asked TLG (their forum)? They may already be able to give you some of the donkey work.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . chicken and wild rice soup.

I index when I'm working on creative projects, it clears my mind. Also there is no better way of learning something than reading it and indexing it point by point.

I'd be interested in it even though I don't own the product yet - I eventually will though.  Its a bit new in the scheme of things that I buy.

I am working on each book (there are five in the set) and then on a combined index. Later I plan to incorporate the information from the Yggsburgh book and supplements.

The first part to be done will be the index for Mouths of Madness. I've begun the indexing and typing the handwritten lists into my computer. I've tried using a laptop before to speed things up but I've found that actually writing the lists out makes me think more about what I'm writing. My goal is not only to write the index but to become very familiar with the contents.

I used to be pretty quick with the indexing. My eyesight was slowing me down in recent years but the new bifocals help tremendously.

FYI, aia, Jason is a famous Greyhawk indexer:  he has compiled a gigantic index of Greyhawk references (available in the downloads section of http://www.HarvestersHeroes.com) and is basically adding CZ:UW to the indexed sources.

So, in the index, you can, for example, look up "Tharizdun" to see a listing of all of the indexed products that mentioned Tharizdun.  The index is quite complete, missing only content since 2003 (which, alas, includes all of Rob Kuntz's Maure Castle Dungeon Magazine levels, for example).  Here's the entry on the big T:

Tharizdun [Deity]
(Master of Malevolence, Dark One, Slumbering One, He Who
Slumbers, He Who must Forever Sleep, Great Destroyer, Ultimate One,
Ultimate Darkness, Ultimate Evil, Ultimate Foe, Ultimate Woe,
Unrelenting Darkness, Utmost of the Netherworlds, Absolute
Darkness, Biophage, Blackest One, Dark One, Darkest of
Abominations, Great Evil, Great Master of Evil, Him of Utter

C&C is more products than Castle Zagyg, for what its worth. But, that would be an easy task (except the "worth valuation.")

I'd be cool if someone were to contribute to the C&C category on the Acaeum wiki.

I don't actually have any C&C beyond a couple issues of Crusader magazine and the collector's edition boxed set, so i can't be of much help, but I'm sure somebody has this stuff.

I've finished the expanded table of contents for Castle Zagyg Upper Works Mouths of Madness. The Index itself will take some time since I'm going for as much detail as I can.

If anyone would like a copy please send me a PM with an email address that you want the 1st draft sent to (if you haven't already done so). I will hopefully have this expanded toc typed up in a couple of days (it is 14 handwritten pages at the moment).
