My author's books all have different numbers.  Also not in shrink.

My Author's set also all have the same numbers, but Chris specifically mentioned that in the deal before I ordered them, years ago.  Most will not be that way, naturally. ;)

For those following the ongoing LA saga, there is some news today.  Mongoose Publishing will be publishing LA.  I don't know very much about them, other than that they sound vaguely familiar.

Mongoose Publishing has the license to publish Traveller material.
They were one of the participants in the 2008 Free RPG Day.

Mongoose publishes the Conan D20 stuff.  Being a REH/Conan fan I own a few - though certainly not all - the Conan books they've released.  They're quite nice as far as I'm concerned in terms of having high production values and format.  They've even released a few of the Conan locales as boxed sets.   IF LA gets a similar treatment then that can only be good for the LA game.

I say similar because Mongoose also publishes the new RuneQuest stuff, and RQ variants like Elric and Hawkmoon.  Those books aren't as compelling.  Maybe the game systems are fun, but as a Moorcock fan I couldn't find any reason to want to make me purchase these when I looked at them.  The RQ books have boring covers, and all of them have sparse uninspired interior artwork.

It will be interesting to see what look and presentation they come up with for the LA system.

Cheers!
