Enough to make you want to go and buy a Mongoose product?

What's that, Ian?  Was the rest of it published elsewhere?

Nothing definite's known about "next steps" for CZ yet:  Gygax Games hasn't made any announcements beyond what's already been discussed.  The working assumption is that Mongoose will be publishing future CZ stuff, but we just don't know anything definite.

Perhaps we'll hear something around GaryCon in March; is anyone planning to go?

Guess I need to do a bit of catching up.  I hadn't heard about a Mongoose project, nor about GaryCon.  Can you provide some details on the Con, Allan?

Thanks.

There's not a lot revealed in either case so far, Stephen, but here are the relevant links:

GaryCon I (7 March 2009 in Lake Geneva) @ http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... llordgames

Gygax Games/Mongoose partnership @ http://www.gygax-games.com/index.php?op ... &Itemid=27 and http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/news/ ... d_news=258

Gail's holiday message seems to have disappeared from the GG web site, but you can see several quotations from it discussed by James Maliszewski on Grognardia @ http://grognardia.blogspot.com/2008/12/ ... ckens.html

Thanks, Allan.  I'm going to try to make the Con; was planning to visit my parents in WI this spring anyway.

Ah, well in that case you should also consider visiting in late June when LGGC V is going to be.  I'm not likely to make GaryCon I, though I am hoping to attend LGGC again this year.

Thanks for the support, Mike, but in a year you'll have 12 of Joe's levels vs. a very-likley 0 of mine:  the level in hand is worth two in the gelatinous cube :D

Hi, Allan!

I plan on going and will see what I can dig up. I might be able to weedle a little something out of the powers that be!

Thanks John!  I'm not going to GaryCon for sure (though I'm still debating about DunDraCon), but am planning on LGGC atm.

Be sure to catch up with Rob:  he's planning to drop by on Saturday for GaryCon, apparently :D

Well we are into our 4th session traveling to Castle Zagyg. :)

So far two PC deaths! One from the werewolf (infected PC who will be back to irritate the party) and one to a midnight raid.  They still haven't actually reached the castle!!  They occupied the Ogre's farm and made it into there new base, made friends with the Wood Elves roaming the forest, ran from the flying monkey creatures and are now trying to rid the Dark Chateau of all it's baddies. (Ok so Dark Chateau is really not a part of the boxset but is on the way to it the castle)

So far a pretty good campaign is brewing here, should keep us busy a few months anyway.

A question:  One of my CZ: UW box's underside has a raised relief pattern--a continuous line (1-2mm wide) that loops, twists, and twines along the left side and through part of the illustration ( a vine without leaves is the best description).  I assumed it was to give the map some texture yet now I'm wondering if someone just played with some glue.

Does anyone else have a box with this feature, or is the flat bottomed box the oddity?

Best,

Paul

My boxes are all smooth and flat (top and bottom and sides).
