If I don't win one within the hour, I'll think about it.

So did you win it for $27!?! Good grab!

Maybe I should lower my price... there seems to be a glut of these.

If any of you here nerds go for it I will discount shipping heavily... ;)

I bought 2 of these recently for about $45 (Each) all told counting shipping.

I honestly do not understand the low prices.
How many were published/sold anyway?

I have read the adventures and they are good stuff and with all of it combined into one huge campaign your talking YEARS of adventuring goodness.

Supply and demand.  Lots of supply = low demand.  I expect that most everyone that wanted one of these already has one.  They were never hard to come by when they were released.  Heck, they even had leftovers at Gen Con the year they came out.  Not sure how many they printed but it was much higher than the DCC #30 box set and I would expect higher than the #35 set as well.  Every game store I go into still have copies on the shelf.

As far as content....I know for a fact there are quite a few people that would disagree with you on just how good Castle Whiterock is.  It is interesting and from what I have read it looks like it could be fun.  But it isnt on par with Rappan Athuk or Upper Works.  And they were also both small print runs.  Low supply = high demand in their case.

Its all part of the supply and demand.  I'm sure a lot of people bought these during the Goodman Games 50% off sale that was on most of last year.  It was even part of the final Goodman Games 48 items for $150 at the end of December sale - that prices each item in at $3.04.  Last year's flooding of DCCs onto the market dropped the prices on basically all items that were available during that sale.  Noble Knight seems to have bought a lot of left over stock and has also been sellling them off almost every week since they have had them - also offering 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance bids for prices over $37(?).

Wasn't GG told that if they wanted to do 4E they had to ditch all their 3.5 stock and never republish? That would explain why the markey was flooded and why all the overstock was unloaded to NKG.

Add to that the fact that Castle Whiterock is pretty crap. The maps are mis-numbered/directionally wrong, that they don't line up, and that there are so many errors in the text that it looks like it was put out in such a rush the QA and proofreading was skipped out, and you have a product that is closer to Worlds Largest Dungeon than anyone would like to admit.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

If shipping was not so much, I'd have considered that cute little beholder... even have a castle (yes, a quilted one) that he could have attacked.

Oh, and in case you were curious, the castle was handmade, and was given to my wife and I as a wedding present. It is simply beautiful, and I don't much care for that kind of thing.
