With MAME (just like OSRIC, et al), you don't have to move on :D

These are actually fairly common for a nonTSR D&D item.  It has a few different prints (side stapled and perfect bound) and a reformatted version with a more solid colour cover.

This one seems a bit high priced at $20, they aren't usually in very high demand and sell around $8-$10.

Yeah, pretty common, but a damn fine resource. Use it in practically every game I play.

$20?!?! Holy crap, I'd sell mine for half that.

I'd thought this might be way too much but has already closed with bin;

With the exception of a few of the 1st edition books, the condition of the books doesnt seem all that bad IMO.  Consider that several of the second edition books fetch a considerable amount of money at auction and the price doesnt seem all that bad....especially from someone that might be looking to fill a few holes and is desperate to do so in one fell swoop.

Dol Guldur, Palantir Quest, Southern Gondor, and the two Arnor books can easily top $50 or more.  Kin-Strife is usually a good seller as well.

That BIN may be a bit on the high side but not by much.

You are right, I think that it was not a bad deal for both seller and buyer, it seems that the seller made a very good estimation.

The most wanted 2nd edition books weren't inculded, expect Dol Guldur  (Moria, Mirkwood and Laketown) IMO.

I've bid on this a couple of times in Australia over the past three months. In both cases it went in the $60 - $80 A$ range.  To me US$290 is astonishing. I have never seen any MERP product including Umbar and Ardor go for anywhere near that price (I've seen those latter two go for around $200).

Wait...are you referring to just the Collector's Edition rulebook?  You do notice that there are quite a few more books there right?  :)

Ha Ha. No. I didn't scroll down. It is first thing in the morning here and I hadn't got my coffee into me. I stand corrected. Actually $290 is a bargain for that set!  :D

Yea I'd noticed as singles they do go high, I've really only look for 1st ed. Merp for my collection. Seem to actually sell much higher over in the UK and "down-under" that I've seen.

Harder to check Australia auctions these days as you have to go direct to the AU site, I'm always on the hunt for old Panther Horror Pbs', rare and getting rarer. Least nothing shows up in searches from feeBay US.

Anyway, seemed kinda high to me because I only wanted a few pieces out of the bunch. Thanks for the input I guess I'll just jump on those from now on and flip what I don't want.

That's eBay these days "Snooze; you lose!"

I've got a copy of MERP, it's the softcover version from I.C.E. (Iron Crown Enterprises) Stock #RP 8000.  Any idea on how to find a possible value for this book?

Found the answer...doesn't appear to be much at all   :cry:
