Yes, $150 cheap for shrink 1st print. I would not buy any Chaosium shrink as in the past they have always had rusty staples inside.  Obviously others may have had different experiences, but I opened went through five Chaosium box sets, all from from shrink before giving up.

Of course if I had not opened any then I would be none the wiser  :D

Rakeesh sah Tarna wrote:$150 in sw hmm pity was not proper sale as seems cheap + curious to know $$ as one spare here. last one much higher anyway + not common

My best 1st print (NM quality, open auction, loads of bidders) was approx $80 about a year ago.  Would expect similar or maybe slightly better if pimped here and at Y-S.com

I hope that I have just been unlucky - no reason why if kept well should not be fine.

To that end, I think that a country with a climate that is subject to minimal temperature extremes would be better for storing all old sealed roleplaying game boxes. Like, well, the UK.  So, my address for sending all your games for safekeeping is...

As long as the humidity isn't too bad such as rain every other day or something crazy like that ;)  In that case, you may think about storing your rares in Canada.

That is at the high end, I would expect this set to go around $90 at auction

no idea why it should. £300 reprint #1 not perfect condition signatures not livingstone + jackson dated 77. hard to justify even >£30-50

** expired/removed eBay auction **
was high enough price £225 for #1-12 w/reps in better condition

glad it just wasn't me who went into shock then!  8O

I saw a WD 1 reprint ('79) go for about £80ish recently, so couldnt see how the sigs would add that much  :?

did not follow but £80/$150 phps silly for reprint as well. fine originals #1 from $80-100 last year with patience. patience many do not have or to check long term
out of place sigs usually minus not a plus unless item is worth almost zero. wrong date on sig would also be minus unless good reason like to prove in author collection for 20 years perhaps
good reason for shock i think!! and not even best offer invite

well quite.. i keep trying to convince myself that I won't start a big collection and then every few months the bug hits again and I end up looking around for ol stuff, early mags etc and either find stuff like this that's going for a fortune, or cant find the stuff I'd really like to get hold of...

Got most of my imagine mags that I wanted now, and although they are in good condition, I'd have been happy for usuable but 'lived in'!  :D
