AG #1 might have the highest print run of any in the series...don't quote me but I believe Tim Kask said once, somewhere, that he had a lot extra printed out to give as freebies to get people interested.

I think he has a lot of them. I found them before this listing and purchased what I thought were the last two (for $1 each!). But after that he listed two more. Wouldn't be surprised if another 2 appear after this.

I picked up a near complete collection from them as well - and extras of the issues with the pull out Traveller and D&D modules all for $1 each as well.

I may have mentioned that I like this very much, a real blast from my past, and damned good stuff to boot (though why the maps are bigger than the booklet will always be a mystery!)

Says Europe only but well worth you nice Americans asking the right questions.

That reminds me, weren't Different Worlds and Paul Vernon gonna republish Starstone and Embertrees? I'm sure I sent the [acronym="Adobe Acrobat  - Portable Document Format"]PDF[/acronym] to him at some point.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I thought Paul was also hanging onto a bunch of uncirculated copies of Starstone.

I heard this somewhere too - kind of thought it was one of those rumours that does the rounds. Can  anyone confirm/deny that there is a boxload ready to be released to an unsuspecting world?

Lol. Hardly an unsuspecting world. We've been speculating this particular rumour for the last five years. I for one would like a nice minty copy of Starstone. Never seen one in anything better than maybe EX condition.

I remember buying mine off the shelf from Not Just Stamps in Wycombe. (I think based on the White Dwarf review). Even brand new it wasn't fabulous (that darned oversized map). I think the only way of getting a minty one would be to rummage around under paul Vernon's bed  !

Paul was very interested in reprinting Starstone, with the Embertrees material included, and we talked about doing Ristenby as well, but I haven't been in direct contact with him for 3.5 years now.  I just pinged the last email I had for him again---it didn't bounce, but who knows if he's still monitoring it or not....

You might be in luck, Ian. I have one still sealed in the original bag that I'll put on ebay very soon, probably this weekend.

Regards

Mike

I've had most of the Quicksilvers before, but never seen this one. Lance fodder.
