Jeez, that eye-candy was distracting. I would have sworn there was a box. It's because the booklet cover has the same artwork (and not the babe)

There are enough people on the Yog-Sothoth forums looking for that item right now that my prediction is in the $120-$140 range.

There are a bunch of Cthulhu books up right now with a .99c start bid. Is masks of Nyarlopsomething one of the sought after ones?

Masks of Nyarlathotep usually sell quite well. Prices vary depending on if it is the original first printing box set or the later perfectbound edition with an additional chapter.

There are three versions (box set, 2nd, complete).  The one you've spotted is the 2nd version, and is generally the least desirable.  Figure $35 to be a fair price on that.

I have Kasar-Khan, mine is bagged. Did they originally come boxed?

I asked Mars about this recently.  There are two versions - the book or the book in a box.  No info on which is first or if there are other differences.

I have seen enough copies of unboxed Kasar-Khan to believe that they came in both a boxed and unboxed version.  The difference being a box and maybe that the cutout sheets and ad sheet were not stapled into the book.

The last one that was up -
** expired/removed eBay auction **
- was with box and claimed to have everything bound in, so there are two or maybe three versions of this.

If Mars says it is so, it is so. I think I'll crack mine open and reread it; I have vague memories of thinking it was usable.

I think there are two versions (boxed and unboxed) but I really do wonder if there was maybe only 1 version of the book printed (all in one print run) or if there were 2 separate print runs.

I wasn't thinking when I traded my unboxed version away.  I will have to take a look at my boxed version and see if there is any evidence that the pages were removed from inside the book.
