has asked to check whether that's a "reprint" or not. I only have the originals but that one looks rather too good for my liking, wrong color (or poorly balanced photo?), rarely found fresh to the market in the UK and nothing else of similar age in what they currently have up for sale.

Definitely looks like a fake. Even the spiral binder is shiny. I'd guess someone copied it. The cover is typically much lighter colored.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

It is most likely an unofficial (done without permission) reproduction created and sold by Outlaw Press:

I remember this seller having sold a number of other Outlaw Press items in the past as well.

"Reprint" in quotation marks thanks to Ken being OK with those with Rick rather less so... *dodges politics*

I previously asked the seller about this copy and he said that he didn't know where he got it... and that "it could be a xeroxed copy" (understand "it is a xeroxed copy but I don't want to say it")

The Outlaw Press reproductions are not exactly the highest quality.

Fifth edition (the most recent) wasn't in print for very long.  The core rulebook goes for pretty good money, but the Great Pendragon Campaign (the only other 5E book) is really tough to find.  There were also (very briefly) POD versions of both books - the difference being that the PODs were softcover instead of the original hardcover.

It went very cheap... the 1 day auction hurt it instead of a 7 day auction.. wonder why they did that??

Brette:)

(I do have a note that there are softcover versions)..were the POD ones through Lulu or such? I'm not a real fan of those are there is not really a print run if you know what I mean..

well someone has bid on it now.. lets see if it goes above the $44 bin

Brette:)

The Great Pendragon Campaign is certainly on my list....as a resource on Arthuriania as much as anything else.

I didn't realize it was a hardback.

amazon silly.. I think I picked mine up for $50 odd dollars each.. If I was in the US I would have hit that BIN.. I.m sure there is (was) money in it.. hell you could have listed it on amazon for $100 and you would have been the cheapest by farrrrrrrrr...

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to point that out.
