Yep, he ran the con and wrote the books, has sold a ton of them by now over the years and seems to still have a bunch of stock.

I picked up all his AD&D mods this summer... asked for and received sigs on all his authored mods (because I like that  :P ) for about $15 per... I'm sure an email to the seller would be well received :)

Looks like a sillest price candidate to me.  However, the postage is as good as free --- "£0.01 Royal Mail Special Delivery (TM) Next Day".  :)

The last copy I had....I"ve had a couple...sold for $75, after sitting in my store for quite awhile. I think the price listed is a bit...optimistic?

I'd say $75 is on the higher end of the range too - maybe $25-100, varying with all the usually factors - how well advertised, right category, phase of the moon, etc.

This can be had for around $20 if you are willing to wait a little while, this price is stupid.

The Arcanum:

I remember this being the very first non-TSR gaming supplement I ever read.  I vaguely recall wondering how I was going to adapt some of the character classes and spells in the book to AD&D.  Before I had a chance, my DM went off to the army and took it with him.

Necromancer's Bane is part of a 3 book set.  If someone is looking for them, you should try and grab them as a group.  Individual books are tough to find.

I like paper, pencil, dice, and imagination.  I don't need minis, cards, special dice, etc.  So this one isn't for me.  And I have an extensive WFRP1/2 collection, so it pains me to type that.

A couple of playtesters give their thoughts on the new WFRP release:

So far it sounds promising.  Hopefully we'll see additional feedback in the near future.  I dont care how great the game is....$100 is a lot of money.

$100 is a lot of money, but it may be worth it.  No one else needs to buy anything, so the cost of the game per player is low.  Of course, players will want to buy dice and whatever other books are available separately.

I have not read any other online reviews.  I saw the demo version in a FLGS.  Any RPG that eliminates the nit-picky tactical combat is OK by me.  No hexes or squares or minis!

The less common edition is the 2nd softback edition included in the boxed set. All others are pretty easy to find.

has asked to check whether that's a "reprint" or not. I only have the originals but that one looks rather too good for my liking, wrong color (or poorly balanced photo?), rarely found fresh to the market in the UK and nothing else of similar age in what they currently have up for sale.
