Lurkers in the shadows, or lurkers above...?

Looks more like their beholder-eating carpet or uber-comfy chair, to be honest. :)

Agreed, as it only seems to be the two on the extreme left.  That would be  a decent coincidence.

Unless you're seeing something different.

Whatever it is, it's casting a shadow: their stairwell was my first thought but that would've required some non-Euclidean geometry to fit the rest of the picture in properly.

Two messages answering my my question from the BEHOLDER magazine seller:

None of them have visible staple rust externally, and only a few internally. A couple are faded or worn near the spine, and Trollcrusher 20 is distinctly grubby externally, but otherwise it's just the photo.

And then:

About the Beholder fanzines - I realised after I replied, what you saw - that's the fake fur throw on the chair I positioned them on to take the pic!

It does look like damage - I wish I'd realised before I used that pic!

Looks like a 2nd or 3rd print? I'm sure Plaag will chime in.

3rd print.  Page numbers in the auction gave it away.

This is the seller discussed on the last page who listed US shipping only and wasn't responding to questions... now all his auctions show an  International shipping amount.  Ready, set, bid!

(Anyone asked a question?)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng
