Whale Tagger wrote:A shame, too. I am looking for all of the expansions and the 2nd edition base game. Even so, at $399, that's $57 each. WAAAAY too much.

No Sir, I disagree.

That price, assuming that everything that he's showing is legitimate, is way cheap.

At Gencon this year, the Timescape and Dragons expansions sold for $100.00 each, without the boxes. And I believe that the City expansion set sold for between $60 - $80. I forgot what the others sold for, but I believe much cheaper than these here (and again, no boxes).

There was a previous post earlier this year (or late last year) of someone paying $600.00 for a full talisman set (with boxes?).

mbassoc2003 wrote:It's certainly worth bidding on at that price. Family Affair has hed good Write ups, and Jhedophar is a good read (haven't played it). Don't know much about the others, but they do form a set. The PDFs would set you back $40 one sale, so I'd suggect $40 is a fair price for hardcopy. I'd certainly be willing to pay that for them.

The Necromancer stuff is likely to steadily rise in value. Firstly, the stuff is unlikely to be reprinted and the company is no more (or at least no longer active). Secondly, most of the product put out by NG has high production value, good artwork and good cartography, and a lot of the writers are talented. Finally, with some of the best product around being put out by NG (Rappan Athuk, Abysthor, CSIO, Wilderlands, etc.) it is inevitable that some people discovering a gem like that will start to put together collections. Whilst we've already seen that for meny years with Goodman Games (as they designed their product range that way), I don't think we've seen the influence of the d20 collectors on the NG stuff as much as we're going to.

All said, now that you've flagged it up, there are many here who are likely to be bidding on it. You're not gonna get them for $25 now.  :D

I missed out on the last round, it went higher than my max bid, but I won the bid this time around at $29.01....appreciate the info. on these items..look forward to receiving and digging into them....  :D

I was bidding on an earlier version of this lot when we started talking about Necromancer Games on the D20 strand.

I pushed my bid up slightly higher because I did not want to wait for a better price on identical lot #5.

These books arrived yesterday, nicely shipped in a solid box.  The modules were slightly more shelf-worn than I thought they should have been for new modules and the seller was somewhat slow in getting them into the mail but overall I am satisfied.

I love this kind of collecting situation...when a lot appears again and again...because it gives me a chance to win an auction as the big dogs get their bone and trot off to chew it.

I kept hunting, sniping and shaking the tree for a second edition Thieves Guild box...and then chanced to win one for cheap in shrinkwrap with a City of Haven box also in shrinkwrap.

Jolly Blackburn is mainly known for being the creator of KODT (Knights of the Dinner Table) comic books, part of the Kenzer & company family for various years now....as far as I know involved in various of their rpgs published by Kenzer in the last years...(Kalamar, Aces & Eights, etc.)

I figured the seller had to be someone associated with one of the two companies.  Otherwise, where did all the duplicate stock come from?

They have been selling off Kalamar stuff for a while, I picked up a lot with almost 30 books in it about 4 or 5 months back, now they have broken it into smaller groups.
