I have to get this off my chest. Consider it a slightly nutty public service announcment.
Here is
at least the third auction I've seen in two months where the seller thought that Flying Buffalo's novelty six-siders were rare, out-of-print, or otherwise worth a lot of money:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0215796307Except they're none of those, because FBI still sells them:
http://www.flyingbuffalo.com/dice.htmSo please, sellers, stop over-selling them. And bidders, stop bidding like crazy for them. If you like goofy dice (as I do), you can them cheaper online. Or at Gen Con, even.
(I should note that the other dice in that auction are out-of-production Armory six-siders, and values on those have climbed lately, so this isn't the best example. But the FBI dice, not valuable. Really.)
Apologies in advance to any Acaeum members selling dice. I'm not accusing anybody of intentionally misleading bidders. Dice are one of the under-documented aspects of our hobby, so it's easy to lose track of who makes what.
That is all.
