My copy of DCC 30 is a module. Thick, but still just the module.

So, not so illusive then.

Sorry.

BTW: Has anyone noticed that one of the DCC number indicators is incorrect on DCC 20?

The front cover shows DCC 20, but the spine lists DCC #19.

If this has been discussed here already, please forgive me.

Yeah...they have had a few misprints here and there.  Another one that is messed up is #52.  The cover shows the correct title which is Chronicle of the Fiend, but the spine shows the title as Palace In The Wastes which is the title for DCC #49.  Oops.

Several issues have already sold out since I made my purchase.  Don't delay! :P

Hell yes.  When the new copies are gone...in a very short time...the entire Dungeon Crawl Classic line will begin to grow in value.  No question.

Apart from the Arneson DCC (#3.5 iirc) is there another "must have DCC" for a collector? Alternately, if I was looking for sock away some DCCs while they were still available, which would you recommend?

Hard to find Must-haves:
3.5
20.5
17.5
#0 (convention edition)
12.5 (either 1st or 2nd printing, so far there doesn't seem to be any difference in what they are worth online, because people either don't understand or don't care about the subtle difference)

Look out for:
#30 Tournament Edition---just sold out, was a little pricey
The Heroes Arise---I suspect this was short printed; also, it contains 5 DCC modules but there is nothing to distinguish these from the regular modules, and the box set comes with no extra booklet like Saga of the Dragon Cult....so unless it's in the original SW, I don't even think this one should be considered collectible!
1st print/original cover/3E editions of  #1, #2, #5---other early modules were also available in 3E and 3.5, but I suspect the three I mentioned will be more sought after due to the different cover and/or different material
#35 Gazetteer box---this sure sold out fast.....!
EnWorld Journal module "My Friend the Formorian" (Can't remember which issue offhand)
#34 Cage of Delirium: Since it came with a CD, I suspect there will be less of these in "Mint/Near Mint" shape than others, I suspect a few people played the CD or actually lost/scratched it.
#39 Castle Churro/DM Screen: Ditto for this one, some might have bought it to use the screen, so probably less in NM/Mint shape than other modules in the series.

Just my guessing here....anyone have anything else?

Damn you, Jon! 2 releases?  Looks like I need to beef up my purchasing budget this year, again. ;)

Let's hope Goodman has learned his lesson from the "60 copy print run" fiasco from 12.5.

Hahahah - yeah, you'll have to watch that budget a little closer this year, goatboy.
Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as I would like buy several copies for my kids, gaming friends, etc.

And yeah, I think Goodman Games will be packing more than 60 copies of each of these AD&D releases.  They'll still be in limited quantities, but I think GG will have that base covered pretty well.

No.  Goodman Games doesn't release sales numbers or print run sizes to anyone, most especially to loose-lip types like me.

I think it is safe to say that I wouldn't wait until Saturday afternoon to swing by the Goodman booth to grab your copies of these modules, if in fact you really want copies.

Shrews, Bacon, Cheese, Sesame seed buns, and the occasional sliced pickle, all flying about as Mike breaks past the doorman as he unlocks the doors, arms pumping and legs flying as Mike rushes to the Goodman Booth to be the first to snag up copies of the latest First Edition items.

I can almost see it now.

Don't forget the ketchup! :D

I'm sure Al would have a snarky comment about the thought of me "running" anywhere....

Aneoth,

As someone who had the pleasure of watching Mike rip apart the exhibit hall last year, I can tell you that I kept myself behind him at all times.  I was just happy to pick up his leftover, thrown-aside crumbs.

I remember last year, Al and I meet Mike and Johh (kingofpain) at their hotel an hour before the doors were scheduled to open.  Mike and John were planning their assault - Goodman games, Egor's, and then the Auction house side room.  We get to the exhibition hall and they are late in opening the doors.  We take our place in the throng of people (must have been about 2 thousand or more).  It got hot in the hall way and I and Mike and John were sweating (Al did not sweat - must be a British thing).  Balloons were being slapped around and stupid people were trying to move thru the crowd to get close to the door.  Mike's focus never wavered, his eyes never moved from the door - the doors opened and Al, myself, and John simply followed Mike thru the doors and into a great four day escape called Gencon.
