Tangent: what's a good forum to refer someone to for d20/3.5 playing?  enworld?  Does paizo have a forum?

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

Paizo does, though obviously their focus is on PFRPG not 3.5 per se.  While I'm sure there is still some 3.5 play out there, I would reckon most "modern" gamers made a choice of 4E or PFRPG.  As an edition change, PFRPG is fairly subtle and based upon improving the existing, rather than a ground up revision.  Somewhat similar I think to the 3.0-3.5 switch - nobody stuck with 3.0.  Likewise, 3.5 players have largely moved to PFRPG.

To add to Grug's comment, they still discuss 3.x/d20 stuff (and even *other games*), and there are subforums relating to their 3.5 adventure paths and other books, plus ones for Dragon and Dungeon magazines if you want to see them.

If someone would do me a favor and report in one (or more!) of these forums that there are more than a dozen auctions for many of the higher-priced, minty 3.5 rulebooks and supplements on eBay starting at 99 cents, I would appreciate it.  I have no interest in joining any of those forums to announce one sale.  I'll probably never list this stuff again.   8)

For those players like myself that still play 3.5, Enworld is the site to have handy.

Where is Enworld's classified section? I looked but could never find a thread either. I myself am collecting the v. 3.5 and d20 items.

Now I don't feel so bad.  Maybe they just don't have one since they sell stuff.  :?

There was mention of that here recently yes. I don't remember the price though. They had slight defects. If I'm not mistaken Formcritic got one and it was only very slight scratches on the cover.

I'll make it up with a Barakus for $10

At $15 it should get a few bids.

IIRC the price was $5 per book, Plus shipping costs of course.

I bought several copies and could find nothing but minor scratches on (or inside) any of them.

After I got them I listed one right away and it sold for a bit over $40.

Since then I noted the price for these have gone from commonly selling for $40 plus, to cant get shed of them for over $20.

Perhaps the BIN sellers might get rid of some at higher prices, but auctions dont seem to sell for over $20 now.

Before that dinged copies fire sale, they were selling for well over $50...

I will wait a while before listing another one I think.

Nicest thing about the Witchfire Trilogy hardback...?

The solid "thump" sound this well-made hardback makes when you tap on it.

Not that the contents suck or anything....I just love how literally solid this publication is.

Yes the Witchfire Collected Edition Hardback book is made to last.
As is the Necromancer CSIO Hardback book.
They are both tough.

This RA:RE set went for a relatively low/good price:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... MEWAX%3AIT

Has the value on these been dropping off too lately?  My recollection is that they were still in the $150-ish range.

I picked one up for about $115 a little while ago, I think that range is a good price for RA (to buy).  I think placing this listing under non-fiction books probably didn't help this auction.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

I think that $100 to $150 will be the standard price for this item for the near future.

I've rarely seen this under $150, given it's original cover price being so high ($120 IIRC?).
