Chafing at the bit here...

What's Otherworld doing next? Any word from anybody? So far, they're the only other line I collect besides Ral Partha. Great stuff...

Any word would be great!

Howdy,

Well, our first batch of Pig-faced Orcs were released a couple of months ago, and we're about to go into production with the Orc Chieftain, Shaman & Standard Bearer.  There are pics in this thread:

http://www.acaeum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5716

Kev Adams is currently working on an archer and a crossbowman, and they should be finished in the next few days.  Following that, we'll have a female orc and 3 orc brats.  I hope all the new stuff will be available in mid-October, and I'll post pics of the new greens as soon as I have them.

Fantastic minis as usual.  I will be buying them just as I've bought all the others!

Will you be doing more than two bugbears?

Probably, depending on how these sell.  We'll probably do another 2 head/weapon variants of each pose, and maybe a leader-type.

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like them.

Here's a 'work-in-progress' shot of the first of a pair of Gargoyles which Paul Muller is currently working on.  I hope to have them on sale in early December.

Sounds great.

No problem I have been really pleased with all the minis I have bought from you (and I have all of them).  Who knows one day I may even get to  paint some of them.

I particularly like the old school 1st edition MM look of the minis.

We just need, hobgoblins (see the rear of B2), Kobolds and MM style goblins as well as interesting creatures that are hard to get hold of decent minis for like owlbears, displacer beasts, rust monsters...

Hi Otherworld -

Is there a Minotaur on the to-do list? I'd love to see Paul Muller's take on a classic minotaur...

Regards

Mike

Here's the 2nd Gargoyle, still WIP, with a bit of finishing to be done.

Are the discounted prices just for pre-orders, or is this a holiday sale, etc.?  If the latter, how long will your sale be going? :D

I will certainly be buying the only pieces I am missing - the two barbed devils and the new bugbears and gargoyles.

However, I purchased the original orc pack and am NOT in need of "more" orcs...how many more orc variants can you do when there are other miniatures out there that have never been done and are screaming to BE done? Please don't get me wrong...I love Otherworld minis, and have added this line to the list of "AD&D" minis I collect. But I don't need an orc standard bearer and different variants of each particular orc!

How about the minotaur people were talking about in earlier threads? Or perhaps more monsters TSR never made?

Just making a suggestion. But I don't think I will be ponying up more money for MORE orcs. The original pack was sufficient.

For what it's worth, thanks for listening, anyway...

Those who put together entire armies...they need special pieces, command sections, officers and the like.

Don't listen to me, however.  I am not a miniature collector.

Okay I have thought of a few miniatures for your range:

1.  Minatour as commented.  It seems hard to get good minatours, I only really like the proportions of the GW AD&D range minatour.  The others they have produced are not great.

2.  How about a Manticore?  Again difficult to find a good manticor.  I would love to see one that looked like the one on the cover of S2 White Plume Mountain.

3.  Gnomes.  very few good gnome figures.  a couple of fighters, a thirf and an illusionist should do it.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the suggestions.  Yes, we'll do a minotaur sometime soon, and a manticore is also on my list.  Gnomes are a definite possibility too.
