MERP lot - no pics, possibly not great condition, but big.

(sigh).  I have wanted one of these for a while - but they always seem to go for a wedge, I would pay £20, maybe a bit more.

Brian cuts to the chase!

Condition on this is not an issue - it can only be better than the one I had back in the day, and I brought that brand new! (To say well-thumbed would have been understating the thumb use some what :D )

I'd love to get my hands on another copy - my only fear is that it won't live up to my memories of it. I always list Starstone in my 'top 10' lists, and many people seem to agree, so I can't be alone.

BYW - Is Paul Vernon still about, or even active in gaming. I seem to remember reading somewhere that he has a stack of Starstones to sell but it might just be my mind playing tricks (again!)

I think grodog mentioned that Vernon still had a number of copies but wasn't interested in selling them.  Starstone is a pretty good module so don't worry :)

I just did a BIN for a copy of Alma Mater for $20.00. I hope it was a good deal.

Yep, Paul's still around, and I'm still planning to reprint some of his stuff, if he'll ever answer my emails :D

Would harassing him daily work?
Is he an active gamer/writer - what little I have read of his is universally good so I would be interested in seeing new stuff.

Paul Vernons P&p page handily omits Starstone and Trouble at Embertrees from WD34 (IIRC) - excellent stuff which can be slotted into a Starstone campaign

Tidy review over at Dragonsfoot

(Thinking about it I don't know why I'm talking up this item seeing as I'm currently bidding on it! - ignore all that's gone before, it's crap only fit to line the budgies cage    )

I did the same thing to myself by talking about Thieves Guild.  :x

Cougar is now officially killing himself.  Essentially $10 for a Midkemia publication.  Even with the jacked up shipping he's lost money on the deal.

I asked Cougar about shipping for this item.  I wondered if he would reply...hey...maybe I'd take a risk.

No reply.   8O

The real shame is that only Acaeum members bid on it. :?

Of course he didn't answer your question about shipping. Thats part of his whole scam.  His final shipping costs are soley dependant on how well the auction does.  The worse the auction odes the higher the shipping is going to be.

You know if Cougar announced he was giving everything he had away, you just had to pay for shipping, I still wouldn't even take it.
