It looks interesting but a bit pricey to ship from Australia.

This was published in Italy too with La Storia Ancestrale (The Ancestral Story) title. It was a mix between a fantasy novel for youngesters and a very entry level role playing game (with many cards) at a . The Italian publisher printed all the rules, along the needed cards   , in a box as a complete beginner's RPG. It pops sometimes on eBay.it but it never gets significant prices unless complete and in nice conditions.

Does anyone know anything about this item (En Garde):

I purchased one when they came out many moons ago and it provided some very fun fencing rules, which we adapted to our D&D games. I just don't know it's collectibility or value, so I am watching this item to see 8O

En Garde is an interesting game, but doesn't seem to be very collectable.  I picked one up on Ebay about two years ago for $14.00 and the others I've noticed have generally gone about the same price.

I'd think none of them, seeing as they are described as smelling musty and having water damage.

GYG you might ask a few questions.  There may be a mold problem there....probably rusty staples if nothing else.

MERP lot - no pics, possibly not great condition, but big.

(sigh).  I have wanted one of these for a while - but they always seem to go for a wedge, I would pay £20, maybe a bit more.

Brian cuts to the chase!

Condition on this is not an issue - it can only be better than the one I had back in the day, and I brought that brand new! (To say well-thumbed would have been understating the thumb use some what :D )

I'd love to get my hands on another copy - my only fear is that it won't live up to my memories of it. I always list Starstone in my 'top 10' lists, and many people seem to agree, so I can't be alone.

BYW - Is Paul Vernon still about, or even active in gaming. I seem to remember reading somewhere that he has a stack of Starstones to sell but it might just be my mind playing tricks (again!)

I think grodog mentioned that Vernon still had a number of copies but wasn't interested in selling them.  Starstone is a pretty good module so don't worry :)
