Nice that it includes the mailer, but that can't be a complete set of counters, can it?

It does not look complete...no.

Cool - I've never actually played Talisman - is it worthwhile?

I've been thinking of investing in something like Talisman or Dungeonquest to try with my kids.

As for the price in this auction - is it high? Can't help but think that if you got them in dribs and drabs they'd probably be cheaper. (But as Dragons goes for easily $200+ and doesn't come up very often this is probably the way to go)

(And what about the GW mini for this? How many were there - I might even be dreaming their existence but I'm sure that I remember a series of alternate frog(or toad) minis for this 8O )

Talisman is a very good game, me, my wife and oldest son play it quite often.  Simple to learn and fun.  With all the expansions though it takes a long time to play.  The 3rd edition is probably the best (it is the 2nd edition that you pointed out) but all the editions are pretty good.  By the way they are on 4th edition right now (curently out of print) and Fantasy Flight is working on a fifth edition.

Games can get you through times of no money but money can not get you through times of no games!!

And he has a bunch of Jordison Tolkien games. (Probably mentioned already, but I'm testing out this new found copy/paste power)

You just triggered my memory of that show. I'm sure I haven't thought about it for more than 25 years!

Plus a ton of other wargaming material.

Al, were you in Morocco when I sold the same items above a few months ago?  They only went for about $50 each then and were totally unpunched unlike these... then again they used to go for $100 apiece a couple of years ago so still a good deal for you.

Ethan's favorite parts of my video are the Three Musketeers and Arabian Nights segments, though he's not averse to dancing around to the kooky Banana Splits music either :D  (I have a UK double sound track with a bunch of Beagles songs too).
