I would be happy to buy it for you Al, and ask either Mike or John to hand it to you at GenCon, or I can hand it to you next year at the first annual AcaeumCon here in North Texas (Assuming you will be able to attend, and also assuming the talk of having AcaeumCon was not just talk induced by too many margarita's at Doug's recent Bar-B-Que)

There are many ways this could be done considering all the willing folks here.

You (Al) could also send direct payment to seller via paypal and the seller could then ship directly to Mike or John........
For hand delivery at the GenCon.
(Assuming one of those guys is willing of course, and I cant imagine either one not being willing)

I'll hand it to him after I've let my pet shrew savage it a little...

AcaeumCon WILL happen....let's just say, the gears are in motion.  The players are in place.  The games are being readied.  And anyone who doesn't mind a piece of gaming heaven in the hell that is the Texas heat shouldn't be making any plans for midsummer 2009...

That's all for now....!

Oh....and there is the War Cry & Battle Lust as well.  Can't say if I would be comfortable with buying anything from this seller though.  Horrific feedback rating.  8O

And there we see White Bear and Red Moon going going SOLD to the gentleman in the Panama hat.

Nice that it includes the mailer, but that can't be a complete set of counters, can it?

Shanghai fun & friends!

Cool - I've never actually played Talisman - is it worthwhile?

I've been thinking of investing in something like Talisman or Dungeonquest to try with my kids.

As for the price in this auction - is it high? Can't help but think that if you got them in dribs and drabs they'd probably be cheaper. (But as Dragons goes for easily $200+ and doesn't come up very often this is probably the way to go)

(And what about the GW mini for this? How many were there - I might even be dreaming their existence but I'm sure that I remember a series of alternate frog(or toad) minis for this 8O )

Talisman is a very good game, me, my wife and oldest son play it quite often.  Simple to learn and fun.  With all the expansions though it takes a long time to play.  The 3rd edition is probably the best (it is the 2nd edition that you pointed out) but all the editions are pretty good.  By the way they are on 4th edition right now (curently out of print) and Fantasy Flight is working on a fifth edition.

Games can get you through times of no money but money can not get you through times of no games!!
