Bushido Role Playing game:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

Seller claims that it is a First Printing and it came in a plastic bag as opposed to a box, although I am not sure if that is in the fact the truth or not.   :?

Aside, does anyone have(or ever had) a copy of Bushido?  I have always thought that it looked interesting and I have considered picking up a copy one of these days. I remeber they used to have ads in Dragon Magazine back in the day and I always was intrigued by it.

Hmm... it's from Tyr, not FGU, so maybe it did come in a plastic bag originally.  There's also a module and GM Screen for Bushido, as well as a line of Ral Partha miniatures.  I believe Land of the Rising Sun, by Lee Gold of Alarums and Excursions fame, is reputed to be even better than Bushido.  I have both but have never had time to read either.

Looks like Dragon Tree Press is selling a bunch of OOP stuff on ebay.  Does anyone know if it's the actual publisher?

That Book of the Dead looks pretty cool.

Yeah, though they seem to be using another handle now for these. eBay listings was the original one.

Booklets look really cool, though I haven't had a chance to read any, only skim through them. The price is fixed, so unless someone else buys these and later resells, this should be what you'll have to pay.

Those are the actual Dragontree publishers.  They have moved to Quilcene, Washington and are selling out of their home.

They also sell Arduin.

I suspect they changed their Ebay handle in order to show that they actually are Dragontree Press.

It seems to exist 3 editions, in fact 4.

- first by phoenix games: only one booklet, without box

- secondly by Tyr games, 2 booklets, without box

- third by FGU 2 booklets (+maps and screen), with box

- 4th by FGU, 2nd ed., same as 3th but box is different.

Perhaps I am wrong in order, but I saw these 4th different versions and have 2 of them

Even nicer was the win on The Bane of Bryreville; this was the first copy I had ever seen.  I was thinking of lobbing a bid on it but it went beyond my level.  I really dislike this new eBay system of hiding bidder identities.  Even in auctions where I know there's no shilling, such as this one, I have less interest when I don't know who is bidding, that was a part of the fun, and it has made my interest in bidding on eBay wane even further.

Its interesting to track some of these items.  I bought that copy of Bane of Bryreville for $96 last Feb, then found one in better condition and traded the first copy to Frank for Interfax of Spells, Necromancy and Black Magic.  It has now passed onto another set of hands.

I absolutely detest this "bidder protection" bullshit. It makes me not want to sell OR buy.
I've seen Minotaur twice, but Bryreville only once. As with many items, I was happy just to own it for a while, and even happier to see it go to a great collector and person who will enjoy it hopefully as much as we have.

Bidder protection is great. You can shill your own auctions and there's practically no chance of getting caught.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
