http://cgi.ebay.com/Legendaria-Log-of-V ... dZViewItem

Legendaria issue #3, March/April 1982

Seems to be a magazine of FRPG related comic strips.

Stated to have an ad for Gen Con East II

Here's a seller with three lots of the Courier, a wargaming digest, from the early 1970s:

Three lots of the Courier

One of the 1974 issues should have an early review of D&D according to this website:

http://www-personal.umich.edu/~beattie/timeline2.html

Dungeons and Dragons reviewed in The Courier. Conclusion: "...concept and imagination involved is stunning. However, much more work ... is necessary before the game is managable. ... I do not suggest these to the average wargamer."

(the website also has a gif of the review in question)

I remember reading an article by Gary Gygax in The Strategic Review blasting this very article...

It supposedly was an comic-like magazine publication that chronicled the adventures of the Varna Adventurers Guild (I think a local group from where the magazine originated  from).

I believe it only lasted four issues.

I believe you're right. I picked up the 4 issues somewhere along the line, but, I've never seen other issues.

Behind Enemy Lines was also printed by FASA in a boxed set.
