Traitor would be the most valuable of those books, but nothing extraordinary.

I'm out on Shadowland again.  Hopefully they won't run out of stock before I get a copy, eventually ;)

I'm still surprised they are getting $10 still (that what I think the are worth) .. prob have a huge stock pile of them all left as I mentioned before... there can't be that many people left to get coppies.. (I still need most of em myself;) )

Brette:)

Most people probably have a copy, or have decided they need one of these like they need an Ironhoof Highlands...i.e., not at all.  They are poop in written form....unusable in any capacity, existing only as a curio.  I've written better stuff while drunk on rum and being eaten by a shrew...

I've posted about them before, but just to update: When I got the set of modules from Days of Knights, it was an absolute horror show. They do indeed have stacks of them, LITERALLY, in their basement.

1. Some of the modules have rust from the pins they used to bind them.
2. Some of them are mildewy/musty.
3. Customer service is horrendous. I was supposed to get a copy of Melanda signed by the two authors, and I had to send it back, ON MY DIME, to get it signed by both. They even used the excuse that the author was sick and it would take some time to get the signature. Since THEY ARE the authors, it was pretty lame.

On top of it all, the modules suck ass. They sell a set of them every 4 months or so, like they're the OPEC of roleplaying.
Buyer beware.

Ah, I'd forgotten that they were poor modules:  I'm really only interested in the Shadowland module since it sounded like it was about the Plane of Shadow.  Is it?  And is it any less suck-tastic than the others??

This sums up my buying experience with them as well.  I think I paid between $30-$45 for each module at the time.

Allen, Frank may be able to give you a better accounting since I sold my copies many moons ago, but IIRC they are all tournament type modules that are very low on setting material. Just a very basic setup and then on your way.

The modules are tournament oriented and very basic.  My recollection is that Shadowland is one of the very thin ones so it might only be 8 or 10 pages.  I don't remember though if they had pregenerated characters or not.

I don't recall Shadowland at all, even though I did read it, so it must have been Ironhoofish. I remember going through the whole series/collection and realizing why Days of Knights has a basement full of them.....

The only thing worse than the adventures themselves is the artwork...yikes....

I only have The Lake of Parity, and it is a very poor module. 8 pages, no artwork and a nothing more! The module is designed to be played in no more than 2 hours...

I would argue it's designed to be used as cage litter.
Honestly, I've had a million non-TSR items and those rank among the worst. I'd use Ironhoof first.

I understand Journey to the Center of the Circle is the best of the lot, and it's horrificly bad. I'd only consider buying these in order to complete my collection of PDFs. There's no investment value in these, and very little in the way of good game play, or even material you'd want to get ideas from. If I get my hands on these, I'll PDF them and then stick them on a nail in my loo.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Thanks guys---you just permanently removed these from my watch/buy lists, and I'm sure Heather will appreciate that even more than I do :D

Allan, keep those descriptions in mind....and look at what they just sold for (thanks to Mars for compiling this on another thread):

Escape from Shadowland $112.50
Journey to the Center of the Circle $34
Chivalry Lives $42.51
Lake of Parity $41.51
The Burgundy Pit $104
Melanda $56.50
Vampyre's Mirror $35

Insanity. We just saved you enough money to buy some worthwhile goodies....

It is mind boggling.  Interesting too that a number of bidders who typically aren't the nonTSR high bidders are there to push the price up.

I should really track the selling price of these for my own curiosity.  The Noble Knight Zayene packages are another one that I would be curious to know the selling history of.  I'm sure NK has sold over a hundred sets and the auctions still tend to be in the $40-$60 range - which more or less puts them at cover price.
