Looks like the ore derived from those meteorites could be the proper grade to produce a +2-dagger at least, although it's hard to tell from the resolution of the photo. I haven't seen Stormbringer-quality meteorites come up on ebay for a while, you need Martian bacterial fossil content for that dweomer to work. Otherwise, someone needs to ask the seller if these rocks have the right magnetic orientation to be used as-is for the components of 9th-level MU Meteor Swarm [Australian buyers should note that the reverse polarity of what's given in the Players Handbook is required].

Personally, I would rather pay good money for a piece of a rock that came from space than a fossilized dinosaur turd....which they seem to sell plenty of those on Ebay as well:

The word 'coprolite' also sounds like a rare metal alloy. Would smiths pay well for it? Would it compete with mithril for strength and lightness. Perhaps one could forge a magic weapon that also dispenses the 'stinking cloud' effect.

And to return to the real world.......

Do some people really have fossilized turd collections  PDT_Armataz_01_23

If I was going to collect turds, I rather have them fossilised than fresh

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

"YULEE, Fla. (AP) -- Stumped about what to give that special someone this Christmas? How about some rhino poop? The International Rhino Foundation is auctioning separately on eBay four pieces of dung from the endangered species and will use the proceeds to fund conservation efforts. The pieces come from four of the five types of rhino: white, black, Indian and Sumatran. The Javan rhino is so rare, a sample could not be collected."

Will trade for Javan rhino poop, but it's gotta be FRESH.

You see, that's the thing about collecting.  There's always something that is an instant "rare."

How many rhino poop collectors will be lining up to fight next time a Javan rhino turd plops down on Ebay?

The bidding's gonna be nuts!  8O

Probably not many. I'll have to be content with creating a website to archive photos of collectible Javan rhino poop, with a forum to discuss rhino poop & its sentimental nostalgic associations, plus threads to alert members of any rhino poop which appears on eBay. Then I can at least make unrealistically low bids to feel like I'm a big-shot collector of collectible Javan rhino poop.

Yes...save your big money for Javan rhino poop still in the shrinkwrap!

Anyone else here bored at work today?

Not an eBay listing but for anybody looking for a copy of Beyond the Mountains of Madness to use for gameplay, Chaosium has one listed at 50% off in their "Boo Boo Books" section.

Ben Burns has three self-published modules up on Ebay.  They are $3 each and the shipping is free.

I bought all three and had both Ben and the artist sign them.

Who knows?  Future rares?

(These are AD&D modules, by the way)

I bought them 3 months ago and it wasn't pdf, and for the same price... It is astonishing that Ben Burns sell them as pdf since he can sell them in printed format (its are very cheap products)...

Collectables or not, who knows... but Ian class them as "future collectables" on afterglow2 http://www.afterglow2.com/Product/Burns.htm

What would possibly make these future collectibles? Who is he?
