It's a boxed set, an early fantasy RPG. (and I am looking for one, if anyone have one to sell in excellent condition :) )

RPG encyclopedia wrote:     1st ed by Dave Arneson, Richard Snider (1978) Excalibre Games Inc.
2nd ed (1979) Adventure Games Incorporated
A medieval fantasy RPG. The system is class-based: warrior or magic-user. Social standing has a heavy influence on character creation.

** BUMP **

A question about this old, cool collectible - has anybody ever seen the playtest edition referred to in Heroic Worlds?

BTW Here is a nice boxed edition on auction at the moment:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I remember a playtest version being sold by NK a while back (I should have bought it but didn't).  There might have been one for sale in one of the Stormberg auctions too.

Heroic Worlds states it is 164 photocopied pages, each page having 2 manuscript pages printed side by side. It states it was a "Limited Edition" so there must be some thing that distinguishes them - a signature perhaps?

Enlighten us stratochamp.

How much did the NW one sell for? May I ask how much you paid stratochamp?

$330 at GenCon last year: sounds about right, IMHO. (Auction link has been posted before ;))
