It's another generic fantasy RPG from back in the day.  It's relatively rare and has not been considered very desirable in the past but who knows these days...

People bidding $139 for a game that other people did not even read.

Are we really to the point where rarity is the only factor in desireability?

I mean...some things are rare for a reason...because they sucked to begin with.

Anyone want to try to bid my copy of Ironhoof Highlands away from me?

Wow, that's amazing.
There are two versions, a softcover and a box set that includes a few miniatures.  I have the boxed version, and this auction was for the softcover, which perhaps is rarer?
I think I bought my box set in the shrinkwrap for about $8 ten years ago.

Yeah I bought mine in shrink for I think $20 and that was 4-5 years ago.

Mr. Shipley was a Good Guy and didn't post an alert about This One, since I was bidding.

Didn't help, tho; it skyrocketed again. Ah well...

Hm; $139, $128... gotta keep an eye out for one that's sneaking by cheap. ;>

It seems to be a hot item right now.  I deluded myself into thinking I had a shot at it as well :)  Malfrick raised the amount his was willing to spend on it significantly from the last one.

8O  8O  8O  8O  8O  and HOLY S*** :!:
I'm glad I got my boxset for cheap back in the day (think I may have to read it now)
Also I don't understand the gold shiny sticker in the corner, my book has it too but I dare say I'm not going to try and see what is under it now.

I was wondering about the sticker too.  The last two copies on Ebay had it as well.  From the image on Ian's website (that doesn't look like it has a sticker) it doesn't look like there is anything under it.

My original thoughts were that the sticker coverred the price disk printed on the original book. I know the book from the boxed set looks identical to the original edition of the book but has a sticker over the price disk, so I was thinking they were both boxed set books missing their boxed sets.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I'm looking for a second edition of this one too - very hard to find.  Someone snagged the one Noble Knight had a few months ago before I could :(
