Sound to me like you want to read them. So read them. Mayfair stuff is generally pretty cheap and extremely common. I don't know which items you are referring to, but if they are the standard Mayfair stuff, unshrinking them is no big deal.

If you are still "torn", buy used copies and read those.

I personally don't buy anything in the shrink unless I already have a readable copy on hand. And even then, only when I can get a great deal. While it is cool to have a shrink item, I prefer to be able to flip through the item in question. So in my collection, the only shrink items I own are duplicate copies.

About 5 years ago I bought a shinkwrapped BH1: Mad Mesa for $1 which looked fine. But when I opened it, it reeked with a terrible musty smell (that gave me a headache) and had very rusty staples. It lost the smell fairly quickly but I kept it away from my other stuff for years. I just put it with the other Boot Hill stuff the other day (in a closed plastic sleeve) but I'm starting to second guess that right now.

On the other hand, I bought a shrink'd Star Frontiers Volturnus Mod for about $2 and opened it, and it was perfect & still had the new mod smell.

I too availed mnyself of this offer, but I don't have the same impression as a lot do about their unworthiness.

THE RA line was always of quality
and had fine illustrations overall.

Such ex-TSR-ites as Jeff Leason, Nigel Findley and Elmore did work for this line, even Allen Hammack, I believe did a book or twe for them.

At 78 USD including shippimg for over 30 books shrinked is an impressive deal for the qulaity of product offered.

There has been a glut of shrinkwrapped Role Aids material on Ebay over the past several days.  This has included some lot auctions.  Funny how interconnected we all are.

No...I was about to until bclarkie said he hadn't opened his shrinkwrap.  

The shrinked bundles are still mocking me from the shelf and the box is still sitting there in the fireplace unburned.

It's a sickness, really.  I have become exactly like the people who do not tear up the wrapping paper on their Christmas presents so the paper can be used again next year.

Or, better still, it is better to play with kittens after they have been shrinkwrapped. That way they make less noise, virtually no mess, and can be easily stored/stacked away in the cupboard after use etc..

   Indeed, Role Aids don't get no respect...but the main reason seems to be that they weren't TSR.

    Well.....that, and a couple of time travel modules!
